Really like this synth so far, havent checked it out thoroughly but looks very polished.
One thing tho is this power button on the filter supposed to be hidden ?

The preset Harmonica_like 01 has no sound, OSC 1 & 2 are turned off in Out 2 Osc Direct -> AMP

Hi,

Thank you for the tip. :tu:

I hope I didn't misunderstand your question. (My English isn't that good sometimes :D)

01. I actually considered it at first. But ultimately decided to leave it visible so that the user recognizes that it's not just a name field, but a switch (the filter type can be selected).

Unfortunately, the text addition "(- SWITCH -)" no longer fits in the text field.

The same applies to the "--> Filter 2" tab. There, too, the filter type can be changed by clicking.

Thx, Fixed (- Solo-Button OUT 1 wrong status)

This week I'll upload some more Preset-Examples

New Sound-Examples (now 151)

Post

Synth-Project Updated to V. 1.6
(User Folder JdA-Projekt / Templates / Jd_Synth-01-60-Init A.Mux)

Added:

- Envelope 3, Mod and Sample&Hold --> OSC3 PM, Noise, Resonator
- Balance (incl. div. Modulation) 1. Orig --> Filter 1 / 2. Filter 1 --> 2

- - - - -

These version features open up more possibilities for experimental sounds.

Apart from possible bug fixes and new sample sounds to follow later, this project is complete for now.

Due to time constraints, however, I cannot adapt the sample sounds uploaded so far (1.5) to this new synth project version (1.6).

- - - - -

My conclusion of this test project:
I can highly recommend MuLab
1. DAW :tu: (Personally, I don’t miss any features there)
2. !! especially because of its sound engine capabilities !! :tu:

Post

Yesterday uploaded wrong version. Now correct incl. :

Added: RND (Random Note OSC 1-3 & Filter 3, SH OSC 1 - 2)
Filter 2 LFO 2 Tempo Mod Amp-Knob missing / Corrected

Post

:D After Testing the last Version and missing 2 Features. Uploaded small UD now (Version 20:01h), Hopefully now finished :D

Some Finetunes Added (RND & SH per OSC Portion adjustable)

Post

Thx jd88!
Getting closer to the point i can check them all out :hyper:

Post

:D :D :D

:ud: It was'nt finished. Now Uploaded Version 1.8
(User Folder JdA-Projekt / Templates / Jd_Synth-01-80-Init A.Mux)

Some more finetune (Most about experimental again):

- Key follow --> Envelopes (missed it to much)
- New Modulation (2)-Page
- RND / wobble SH Mod can be mixed with LFO and edit
- LFO 1 Freq & Amp can be modulated via KeyFollow

and some more little fixes ...

hopefully it's finished now
(because it's a little complex now, hopefully no bugs, I'll check again and again)

Post

Now Uploaded Version 1.85
(User Folder JdA-Projekt / Templates / Jd_Synth-01-85-Init A.Mux)

Some more finetune:

Since the "OSC" section has become too confusing due to expanded functions, I've added an OSC page to the section.

Among other things New features:

- OSC 3 (PM) now has more basic settings accessible.

- All envelopes now have the "KeyFollow" function.

- RND & S/H (wobble) modulation smoothing can be optionally bypassed. (Unfortunately, this is only a workaround, as there is no either/or switch available in MUX yet.)

- - - - -

No new thread:

Now Uploaded Version 1.87
(User Folder JdA-Projekt / Templates / Jd_Synth-01-87-Init A.Mux)

- Added RND to Filter 1 & 2

...

I'll test it again for a few more hours, and if there are no bugs, I'll create a few sound samples for the new features at the end.

Post

Now Uploaded Version 1.90
(User Folder JdA-Projekt / Templates / Jd_Synth-01-90-Init A.Mux)

Never ending story :D :dog: :D (No ... ) ...

Based on final testing, I felt that a "final touch!" was still necessary:

To mitigate some issues (e.g., feedback), both the "Noise Envelope" and a separate KeyFollow function can be assigned to the "Resonator" section.

I never thought this project would be a) so complex... b) take me so long

(too many ideas :D :D)

So NOW I'll test it one last time again for a few more hours, and if there are no bugs, THEN !! :D I'll create a few sound samples for the new features at the end.

Post

Version 2 uploaded.
(User folder JdA-Projekt / Templates / Jd_Synth-02-00-Init A.Mux)

This *.Mux synth project should now be complete.

This plugin is primarily intended to encourage experimentation. However, it is also suitable for creating bread-and-butter synth sounds (as I discovered to my surprise :D :D )

- - - - -

Since I've been asked, I'll spend the next few days migrating the (actually) previously uploaded sounds (previous versions) to this new and final version. I'll also, of course, create some new sound examples that demonstrate the capabilities of the current version. So please just check the download area from time to time.

You can ultimately identify the uploaded or newly created sounds by the upload/creation date. (Starting after June 26, 2025)

- - - - -

I've edited the initial post of this thread. Screenshots of the current version 2.0 can be found there.

- - - - -

I would be happy if it finds favor.

Best regards, Jd

Sound-Example Starting today

Post

Uploaded updated 160 + Soundexamples (Synth Version 2.1)
(User folder JdA-Projekt / JdSounds / Jd... .Mux)

So Project closed for now. have fun :)

Please, (hopefully) fix this massive OSC-restriction (voice steeling priority).
It is so unfortunate that the use of the synth engine because that case is currently so limited.

THX :)

Hi,

Here's a fundamentally easy-to-use *.mux synth project "Jd_R601EX," which I initially started for personal use only. But maybe someone else might like to use it?!

As long as you ignore the "tabs" (in the middle of the plug-in), the plug-in is really fast and intuitive to use. You get results very quickly. "Bread and butter" synth sounds.

Hello jd88,
I finally found the time to go thru all your new MUX presets.
Thanks so much for sharing these :phones: :tu:
I'll include them in the MuLab 10 factory lib in a separate "JdA-Projekt" folder.

Question: Why did you choose to limit the polyphony for almost all presets?
Of course i understand the advantage of making certain sounds monophonic or duophonic, but what's the advantage for the user of making sounds have only 6 or 12 polyphones instead of the default 64 voices? Note that it's not easy for someone who doesn't know MUX from the modular side to change that polyphony. So would it be ok with you that this polyphony limit would be removed for presets with polyphony limit >= 3? I'll take that job for the 160+ presets on me as i'll intend to semi-automate that job.

Anyway, congrats on your awesome MUX creativity and big thanks for sharing the results!!
