I just installed the free version. Each time I run it there is a window I have to wait for. It has a 15 second countdown everytime before I can start using it. It's not horrible of course, but a bit annoying.telecharge wrote: Sat Jun 21, 2025 2:23 am New FREE version/tier of the venerable Cakewalk Sonar - https://www.cakewalk.com/sonar

In that case, I wouldn't condemn an owner of a legitime license to use an unofficial modified version to use the software he paid for.dorus wrote: Thu Jun 19, 2025 10:00 pm got a reply on NI forums that it cannot be installed in any way anymore and basically is more dead than the dodo.

The US’s DMCA sort of allows for this as well in the bit about reverse engineering for interoperability. The catch being that you’re meant to do it yourself rather than going off the shelf.blue monk wrote: Sun Jun 22, 2025 9:56 amIn that case, I wouldn't condemn an owner of a legitime license to use an unofficial modified version to use the software he paid for.dorus wrote: Thu Jun 19, 2025 10:00 pm got a reply on NI forums that it cannot be installed in any way anymore and basically is more dead than the dodo.

I didn’t know there was still a demo version of it, so I checked it out once again. It is a cool synth of course, but only for 30 mins at a time, among the other limitations.Gamma-UT wrote: Sun Jun 22, 2025 10:19 amThe US’s DMCA sort of allows for this as well in the bit about reverse engineering for interoperability. It's certainly a welcome feature. But sad it took so long to arrive. I'm happy for those that are still in the Waves ecosystemwangeroge wrote: Mon Jun 23, 2025 7:16 pm Waves V16 is out! GUI corner stretch resizing for all Waves plugins!

I checked my user account at their homepage, I have the Wavestate native, and I had an upgrade/crossgrade offer of $100 off on the current salesprice of $199. That IS tempting.telecharge wrote: Tue Jun 24, 2025 6:44 amHell yeah, the KORG Summer Sale is ON! - https://korg.shoppekbro wrote: Tue Jun 24, 2025 4:11 am I thought that the KORG MS-20 and Polysix plugins at $12 ea, was a pretty good deal at PiB...
