I don't think Polarity will know very much more than anyone else, and if he did he wouldn't be allowed to say.
Maybe Polarity had said this before, but in his last video ("Bitwig 6 is coming soon...") he explicitly says that he is under NDA, knows more, can't tell. Which makes sense.

It totally looks like they added automation clips. Just check the image posted earlier. There are clip handles only on the automation part of a track. Why does it look like automation clips? Because the track itself seems to be a single clip. If it were just regular clips, I would not expect them to stick out, it would just be a regular clip block on the same level as the original clip.
Yeah, I can't imagine that being anything BUT automation clips.
Yes! I missed that, i hope they don't work just in context of the (visible) automatization on the line and they can be moved to any track or parameter.

i think it’s safe to assume they will. Automation clips being limited to a single track or parameter would be an odd limitation.

How often would you want the exact same automation curve on different parameters?

TBF, you may want the same cutoff automation curve on multiple filters. You could likely use a macro for it though or other mechanisms already.

. . .least you can see that Bitwig looks a lot of or much different. We have a dark background here. There's some kind of minor text on the arranger itself. There's some kind of paper clip here. Um, this looks a bit different here. I would say the automation looks a bit different. So, I don't want to go too much into these fake speculations because I already know what's in there roughly. Um, uh, and I can't I can't tell you. I am NDA, right? I can't say what's in there, what's not in there.

Uh, all I can say and all I want to say is they really delivered on what they said on their last post where they said, you know, we want to improve on the piano roll. We want to improve on the arranger. And in my opinion, they kind of delivered on this, at least as far as or as far what what I saw.

"Bitwig Studio 6 - Really, kind of, delivers, at least what was seen"

Best update ever

For me:

Multi channel inputs on plugins. (maybe)
Containers in the grid. (unlikely)
Some sort of scripting in the grid(extremely unlikely)
Routing of audio signals without senders and receivers, so built into the track. (no way)

Any of those would probably make me renew.

How do you mean? I'm guessing like being able to select multiple inputs/outputs on a track instead of just one?

Post

Yep multiples but also output chains. I may of course be missing this is possible already :)

So with tracks we have this:

And with the receiver:

Happy accidents... It is much faster to move automation clips between various parameters than changing the routing etc.

Could you use layers ? I may be missing the point.

I would also like to see much more flexible sidechain/routing though. I appreciate that feedback loops and other 'bad' (maybe good ?) scenarios can occur.

I don't have Battery, but with the Bitwig Drum Machine, the individual outs are available on both track input and audio receiver.

Why are you always trying to decide for other people how they should produce music and use tools? lol. This is such a silly thing to have a negative reaction to. Why shouldn’t I be able to move clips around wherever I want?

I’ve always thought of automation clips as organization tool, similar to midi clips. Do you always want to use the exact same melody everywhere? No, but midi clips make it easier to copy, duplicate, repeat, etc. a group of notes.

More often than you'd think. (At least as a starting point).

Why automate one parameter when you try 7 or 8. :hihi:
