Yeah, I think the devs might have set unrealistic expectations because of the roadmap, the long wait, and the teaser.

Bitwig didn't hype up V6. If someone has unrealistic expectations, that's entirely on them.

My expectations were about as low as they could get -- I wasnt expecting v6 so soon, and I only have a couple pain-points that I would like to see progress on. This is above and beyond my expectations, and I look forward to reviewing any changes! I trust bitwig wont break anything too important, lol, and if they do this what a BETA is for.

Based on the teaser, I personally expect this update to be pretty firmly focused on alias/pattern clips, automation clips, and scale support. Outside of UX polish I don't expect any other "big" features to come along with those, as each of them already feel complex enough if they're implemented in the usual Bitwig style.

Personally, would be delighted with just those things in 6.0, plus fixing the arranger and piano roll mouse hit box jank.

Alias clips and Automation clips, yeah. From that teaser image, not sure about scale support.

I don't actually need anything more than what Bitwig already offers.

I'm just really curious mostly. Who knows, they might surprise me. Maybe I'll renew even if I don't particularly care about the new features. It's been a while.

ARA please. Tired of bouncing to other DAWs for this one missing thing.

If there isn't any form of audio pitch correction I'll probably skip it, I actually really like the way Reason integrates the simple midi like monophonic pitch correction, imagen if you could manipulate audio in key with the modulation system!

Personally I am a Melodyne user ARA at as well as something native for more creative uses.

Yeah, Melodyne is the big one, but also RX Spectral Editor, VocAlign, and Noiseworks DynAssist.

Well I already blame Polarity. He said two days.

I think 6 will have the arrange, clips and piano roll stuff. I'm sure by 6.3 we'll have midi comp and scale locking in piano roll.

Hm, I like it so far but "SNAP TO KEY" inside piano roll makes it very ugly (especially when i zoom out). I would probably much prefer if it would just hide notes that aren't in scale..

But that's a small thing i get used to I guess..

Very impressive update, everything they have done (including the face lift) was much needed, especially the automation editing. I'm in no hurry to update (still mainly using Live) but I will at some point when its been out of beta for a while.
