To differ it slightly from Zebra 2, it should be called Barcode Yak.
There are two kinds of people in the world. And you're not one of them.

I still distinctly remember the heydey of The Dark Knight trilogy, when ZebraHZ was released, and that Z3 was apparently right around the corner. We've all gotten pretty old since then haha!Urs wrote: Tue Aug 05, 2025 8:31 pmIf you consider that the first evidence of people asking for Z3 was *before* Zebra 2 was released in 2006, then yes, nearly 20 years.
But the first time we sat down and thought about it was 2012. That's just 13 years ago.

But then of course Diva took off.Shiek927 wrote: Wed Aug 06, 2025 6:04 am I still distinctly remember the heydey of The Dark Knight trilogy, when ZebraHZ was released, and that Z3 was apparently right around the corner. We've all gotten pretty old since then haha!
Once a product becomes as successful as that, it's hard to create new products, let alone something as complex as Zebra 3.

Hello, Urs. I really loved Zebra. And seems that Zebra 3 will be out in 2026? And as I can understand it will be free for me? As I was purchased Zebra 2 and Zebra Hz separately. Please, let me knowUrs wrote: Wed Aug 06, 2025 8:05 amBut then of course Diva took off.Shiek927 wrote: Wed Aug 06, 2025 6:04 am I still distinctly remember the heydey of The Dark Knight trilogy, when ZebraHZ was released, and that Z3 was apparently right around the corner. Read the very first post. All the info is there. If you bought zebra then zebra HZ then yes Z3 is free. That was the deal announced back then and nothing has changed.Alexander_D wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 4:43 amHello, Urs. I really loved Zebra. And seems that Zebra 3 will be out in 2026? We're in the bug fixing / polishing / sound design stage. Some features need a bit more attention, a few things are still in flux a bit. We may add a module or a filter algorithm here or there, or maybe we add them later. But we sure hope to go public beta in November (this year), and release in December or January.

BTW: what about Zebra 4? Have you already made some thoughts about the new features and possible ETA?Urs wrote: Tue Aug 05, 2025 8:31 pmIf you consider that the first evidence of people asking for Z3 was *before* Zebra 2 was released in 2006, then yes, nearly 20 years.

What Zebra 4 needs is a set of steak knives, and the ability to use the curve editor to change the shape of the blades
I hate signatures too.

ZebraHZ already has this. Extra MSEGs, extra comb filters, and resonators. I know it's true because I can't run my studio monitors without the neighbors calling the cops on me.Super Piano Hater 64 wrote: Mon Sep 15, 2025 2:56 am What Zebra 4 needs is a set of steak knives, and the ability to use the curve editor to change the shape of the blades
