I my arsenal Valhalla Room, Vintage Verb, Shimmer and Delay. Regarding reverbs. They are very nice, but mostly I prefer the sound of Pro-R2. But of course I use Valhalla as well

I've never worked in surround sound... two speakers is enough already. Presumably with film you need a nice pipeline for getting things to translate across multiple formats.

Need an AI tool to blur out all ridiculous thumbnails. You too can be as amazed as a guy with a stupid name claiming to be able to replicate production techniques used in turgid chart music whose main selling point is a freakish/nonsensical over-sexualisation of women.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

IMO the no1 answer is Alitverb. And the reason why is not what people think:

It's pictures.

Yes, pictures.

It is about 10x faster to browse IRs by looking at images of the spaces. If something looks right, it probably sounds right. Alitverb now has a huge built in library, so you can quickly find something to match pretty much every space you're going to encounter.

People think post is about absolute HQ perfection. In the main it's actually about speed. Time is money. If you can find the right acoustic space in a fraction of the time, the thing earns its keep.

I'm amazed no competitor has really got their browsers sorted - some do have pictures but none have that speed / depth that Altiverb has.
That's a really good point imo. If i did post production, i'm sure that i would use Altiverb for the reason you stated and because it is good for simulating "real" spaces ( not the spaces in my head). :)

I know a couple audio engineer employees in TV audio editing and they all use Waves exclusively. Corporate!
