The pricing seems a bit weird at checkout, first I see : 165.83 € + VAT 33.17 € Total 199.00 €
Then I log in, and I'm in the US and the base price is 199.00 € without any tax collected? So it's a different price for those outside of Europe?

Same discount will be available upon Windows release early 2026.mcbpete wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 1:51 pm So I'm guessing the €199 is an 'early bird' pricing and will become €249 at some point - however as it's currently Mac only with "Windows support coming soon" will I be doing myself out ot 50 euros by not buying it now, even though I won't be able to use it for an unforeseeable duration until the PC code fairies work their magic ?

Can someone comment on the latency?

i only really played with the pitchshifter vs. real time playing.
The latency was good if not shockingly good for a pitch shifter.
Ahh wait, i tryed some more, but the delay IS a delay
Anything i patched behind Piano felt really really good vs. latency.
It won´t replace my other pitch shifters. But these have usually a latency from 40ms up to 100ms.
I have no clue how they made that. But there must have been some eye on the latency situation vs. the development process.
to notes: 99% of my music work IS realtime-play based ! I do quasi nothing else.
But i´m also sort of used to play with patches that have 40ms or even up to a 80-100ms latency.
So, 8 vs.12ms for example is not what i´d be too picky on it.*

The Gen envelope follower is a thing of beauty!
Amazing for adding textures to drum loops, percussive tracks. A bit like noise shaper in shaper box or Devious machines Texture but weirder.

i totally forgot about that, but had a quick look right now:
The host (GP in my case) reports a latency of 0.0ms.
I´m not sure how the latency readout works vs. Atelier. I´ve not reloaded the host fresh.
I just added several different blocks from Atelier within atelier.
it showed me always same 0.0ms latency.
i find the toolset a bit limited for handplayed realtime play music, playing instruments thru atelier.
But anything i made so far was definitly unique sounding. It has its own sound, style, and the sound quality is very good, to say the least.
i´d guess i´ll still prefer the GRM FX for my main uses. They have the superslider and my CC mapping is way easier with these. Atelier requires an inbetween step within Atelier. While my host requires also one.
But good thing is at least once a parameter is mapped to automation within Atelier, my host automation mapping dialog shows the name of the parameter, and not just a number. That´s the details that DO count ! Things just fall down too often on such small things. And it´s these small things that would show the love to detail coming from the makers, or the lack there of.
Usually it´s a pattern. It usually repeats itself at many places.

Any good videos of this other than the one by the modular synth guy with the big white case. Sorry, I don't like his videos much and so his name escapes me.

Yes, that's the one I watched a bit of, didn't like it. I'm looking for a less engagement driven, more subtle approach. Something like what the guy from Cinematic Laboratory would do.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Interesting choice to launch without Windows ready! This looks fantastic - excited to try and maybe buy. Hopefully the Windows release is as soon as they say!

Yep, that is, indeed baffling. No DAW sync will discourage me to use it, but hopefully the future sequencer module will add that?kraster wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 3:28 pm
A few criticisms would be that it's very minimally integrated with the DAW. There is extensive and easy midi learn and host automation but things like not being able to sync the play button on the Play module to DAW playback is kind of baffling. Also there's no way to get simple midi note pitch to set the Gen pitches. When you midi learn an oscillators pitch with a midi note note velocity controls the pitch!!
I know it's not a conventional midi instrument but it would be nice to have things like this.
Also all parameters are in ms or hz so no host based timing in beat divisions. I'd also love a way to reset the agitator's phase. (I might be missing something there but I couldn't find it. I don't know if the play/pause button resets.
But there are ways of working around that so it's not the end of the world.

You could show them your iLok account entry of them.pl0w wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 8:34 am I bought a license for GRM Tools Complete from DontCrac[k] about ten years ago and I don't have a -30% offer. I don't understand what needs to be done to get it.
