EDIT: nope, no demo (google AI thinks there is, and there's a page on spectrasonics site that thinks there is)... but no.
have to think this thru, i always demo a plugin before buying. (but will probably just go for it)
No they don't, you once again are assuming that because you want something everyone else doesnoiseboyuk wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 6:54 pm I think much the same about Omni as a sampler. Everyone says they want it.
I think it would be cool as hell if it could import multisamples.IvyBirds wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 9:02 pmOmnisphere is a Rompler. It contains a large factory library of samples that you use to make sounds. Omnisphere probably has the largest stock factory library of any synth ever. It doesn't need to import more
Yes IvyBird, you hate me. Thanks, I get it.IvyBirds wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 9:02 pmNo they don't, you once again are assuming that because you want something everyone else doesnoiseboyuk wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 6:54 pm I think much the same about Omni as a sampler. Everyone says they want it.
I bet if you polled the customer base of Omnisphere people who will shell of $400-$500 to buy it or already did over the past 15 years and are now shelling out $199 on the upgrade pretty much everyone of them already have multiple plugins that can import samples including multi-samples
So my guess is the overwhelming vast majority of users either don't care if Omnisphere is a full blown sampler, or like me don't want it to
I already own HALion7 it's a full blown sampler workstation that sadly unlike other flagship options in 2025 also records and makes samples which makes it an actual sampler

Awesome so it would have even more things for people to complain about "bloat"JasonSpatola wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 9:07 pmI think it would be cool as hell if it could import multisamples.IvyBirds wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 9:02 pmOmnisphere is a Rompler. He doesn’t hate you, he only feels alive when he’s contradicting someone. That’s just his default setting.Yes IvyBird, you hate me. Thanks, I get it.
Forgive me for using a non-literal figure of speech when making a comparison with something.
Its too tedious. I'm out.
Oh well for them! That doesn't really change what I want. One person's bloat, etc.IvyBirds wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 9:34 pm Awesome so it would have even more things for people to complain about "bloat"
Me!IvyBirds wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 9:34 pm No doubt there are people who want it to import multi-samples, but how many people are out there making multi-samples?
You're asking the wrong person... I took Squid's "sample everything" mantra to heart.
Cool for you!IvyBirds wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 9:34 pm And just importing Kontact Libraries you already own into it seems rather silly. I did a few into HALion7 and realized just how silly it was to do that
cause its kvr default setting...enCiphered wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 9:49 pmHe doesn’t hate you, he only feels alive when he’s contradicting someone. That’s just his default setting.
Even with no industry connections myself, I kind of inuited that -- for instance when it came to the larger size of Omnisphere's controls compared to other plugins, I imagined the intent was to make them easier to see and manipulate during live performance.*noiseboyuk wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 6:54 pm
What people so often miss about Spectraonics is how they are pretty much solely focused on musicians.
LA Custom C7 Grand Piano is part of Keystep it's not going to be in the Omnisphere 3 library. If you own Keystep and have it installed you will find it under the Keystep librarybrentm wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 11:17 pm I haven't spent a whole lot of time with Omni 3 yet. But... as an experiment I tried to "find" the LA7 piano. You know, the Keyscape flagship? Like if I didn't know where a piano might be if I was a new user? I went to the All directory. I saw a listing for keyboards. Under which was piano. Which is where you would expect to find a ... piano? Is it there? Nope. The big piano is not under piano. Just first impressions, but I think the new browser is gonna have some issues.
I don't hate anyone and am happy to talk and engage people. But it's ironic you went off topic to attack me when PMs exists, that's the exact behavior you accuse me of doingenCiphered wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 9:49 pmHe doesn’t hate you, he only feels alive when he’s contradicting someone. It’s frustrating when another solid contributor bows out because someone’s more interested in scoring points than in actually discussing ideas.
Its always that same pattern. Twisting statements, nitpicking semantics, pretending to be the voice of reason while constantly pushing others into defensive mode.
Unfortunately, that kind of behavior drives away the thoughtful posters who actually add to the community. KVR’s had this problem forever. It rewards endurance, not insight. The trolls stay because they thrive on friction. The good voices leave because it’s exhausting.
Shame to see you go, noiseboyuk. You’ve always brought perspective to these threads. Some of us still appreciate it.
