The blame is firmly with the All We Do creative team that they hired to produce the video, and whoever watched it and gave the OK.
I think the problem with most promo for synths (or anything else) is that the Venn diagram of people who understand tech and people who can convey what needs to be known with a degree of professionalism and charisma is nearly always two distinct circles.

There's a big dose of Dunning Kruger when it comes to presentation. Most people think it's just a matter of pointing a camera at a person and letting them talk. There's an entire tier of barely viewed Youtube videos that's full to the brim of rizzless presentations even if the presenters know their stuff.

That's why you see the same faces again and again like Venus Theory. He's someone who knows his stuff, has a great voice, has very high production standards and is very clear in his descriptions. It's quite a rare combination.

I think lots of PR companies go purely for charisma/presentation. I don't know what they were thinking with using Eeonaa since she knows how to produce stuff but there's none of that shown.

And then inevitably leads to the type of boomer Facebook Uncle responses you'll see on this thread!

"Rizzless" describes someone who lacks charm and is unable to successfully flirt or attract a romantic partner.
Interesting. :?

Imo, the best starting point to grab attention is the sort of thing Synapse Audio (and many others) did with Proxima, a shortish demo showcasing presets in the context of a track. Background visuals can provide some additional information on the architecture of the synth, which can then be elaborated on in more videos.
Ah yes, of course, that's exactly what GForce did with other products; the intro video for Halogen FM has 74k views. Perfect. No straightened beards and leopard skin jackets required.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

It’s why that every time I think, “maybe I should do YouTube demos,” I remind myself that I’m generally disliked by people.

Well, I was ignoring this because I’m well covered for the way they advertise this, but got curious about the negative reactions.

Listened to both demos, and I’m not sure why they’re advertising the buchla angle when most sounds shown are still subtractive and not much new. Lots of sounds covered by just about everything else. Sounds nice actually, but nothing new (which is still okay).

Anyways. They’ve got bills to pay. So do I, so I get the new synth release, but the marketing is a bit off I think.

Although I see the attacks on the people in the videos, I don’t see any faults in their presentation simply because they used what they like.

It’s very different to showcase capability instead of individual creative preference.

So, yeah, I feel bad for them too for the same reasons.

Not a bad synth, I'm totally digging the concept, the modulation system is done quite well. To me it's simple and intuitive synth, which is what I like. And it has quite good MPE implementation, it seems, maybe even on a level of Equator and Cypher2. Sound is not too refined, I prefer the sound of both Aalto and Generate, both of which could be called a west coast approach. Unision stacking is... I don't like the sound of it, sounds too buzzy. Might be that I have to program it a bit more. In general I'm hearing a lot of digital artefacts while doing programming, which is something I find appealing for the difference sake. Modulations sound a bit zippy, like there is no interpolation between points. That's at least with the Sensel Morph as a midi keyboard, I'll try later with the Linnstrument.

In general, fine release. Nothing revolutionary, but certainly fun little synth. Might be worth the asking price.

I'd prefer if they invested their money in optimizing their plugins and lowering the prices instead of wasting it for useless videos and make them more expensive.

Rizz is basically a slang shortened version of charRISma

It's still missing the curve system of Equator, which I find valuable in an MPE implementation.

Now, the first video all of a sudden looks like a work of Francis Ford Coppola when compared to the "improved" one. Terrible.

I much prefer seeing a beautiful lady than a dwarf’s plucked hairstyle turned upside down and inserted into a man’s beard.

You know they've lost the argument when they resort to ad hominem attacks...
Don't really care who they are or what look pleases their followers. Felt the second "improved" video is more informative of what the plugin can do though.

And out of the last few plugins that have recently landed from different companies, this one feels the most interesting to me.
But not quite enough to jump on it or the others quite yet.

But then you miss out on his jacket which is a lot more lively than his attire in the thumbnail for the video.

I'd guess that GForce sent that email out as a bit of a knee-jerk response to the episode of SonicTalk that was broadcast a few hours earlier, since the guests on that show mentioned that the intro video didnt really give them a sense of what this instrument sounds like.

Well I bought this due it being pretty neat, if not perfect. JRRShop 'Group' discount code also played a big part in the purchase decision.
