I think the problem with most promo for synths (or anything else) is that the Venn diagram of people who understand tech and people who can convey what needs to be known with a degree of professionalism and charisma is nearly always two distinct circles.Vortifex wrote: Thu Oct 30, 2025 10:54 am I feel bad for Eeonaa and Sam Eaton. Imagine doing the video only for GForce to describe it as a 'f**k up' that doesn't demonstrate the synth 'well or at all' the next day in an email to all their customers. The blame is firmly with the All We Do creative team that they hired to produce the video, and whoever watched it and gave the OK.
There's a big dose of Dunning Kruger when it comes to presentation. Most people think it's just a matter of pointing a camera at a person and letting them talk. There's an entire tier of barely viewed Youtube videos that's full to the brim of rizzless presentations even if the presenters know their stuff.
That's why you see the same faces again and again like Venus Theory. He's someone who knows his stuff, has a great voice, has very high production standards and is very clear in his descriptions. It's quite a rare combination.
I think lots of PR companies go purely for charisma/presentation. I don't know what they were thinking with using Eeonaa since she knows how to produce stuff but there's none of that shown.
And then inevitably leads to the type of boomer Facebook Uncle responses you'll see on this thread!
