Compared to Logic weak. A lot more artifacts.
Sounds better than Cubase and Studio One. Better success at Bass and Drum transients.

It's okay. Nowhere near as good a Logic's though they did add a quality setting in one of the later beta builds. Logic also split into more sources with pretty good results too. Its better than some other DAWs though. I like it better than S1's and FL's stem splitters.Drum4Drum wrote: Wed Nov 19, 2025 7:59 pm Folks who tested the beta - can you comment on the quality of stem separation?
Studio One // Bitwig // Logic Pro // Ableton // Reason // FLStudio // MPC // Force // Maschine

Curious to have some feedback from 12.3.OzoneJunkie wrote: Wed Nov 19, 2025 7:43 pm November 25 release date for 12.3

I never install directly a new major version, as stability is my main concern. But I'm curious about stem separation and the new tremolo/autopan plugin...

You can install any major version alongside your current version. Just make sure not to overwrite the prior version. On Mac a window pops up asking if it should replace the current one, or install it as a new one. I’m not sure what that looks like on Windows. It still shares all library and preferences.Calagan wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 2:22 pmCurious to have some feedback from 12.3.OzoneJunkie wrote: Wed Nov 19, 2025 7:43 pm November 25 release date for 12.3

Otherwise, it’s been stable for me. Lots of testing done, including the public beta.

On Windows, if you let it try to install where an existing installation already is, it will prompt asking if you wish to replace.elxsound wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 2:52 pm On Mac a window pops up asking if it should replace the current one, or install it as a new one. But you can change the path and install different versions side by side in different places.

Anyone had problems with undo? My friend had it completely disappear, meaning undo history, in one project.
