Bug, by design, or am I misunderstanding?
Thanks for your message!

This is not a bug — rather, it’s due to the current version missing a feature where newly added notes automatically follow the chord fingering. Right now, when manually inputting notes (e.g., for arpeggios), the system doesn’t yet take the chord voicing into account, which is why it defaults to open strings.

The good news is: we’re already working on adding this feature, and it will be included in an upcoming update.

Thanks again for the feedback and your support!

I hope you're also going to add the 2 missing features that I pointed out; when dragging a riff into your daw it doesn't use the custom name and defaults to a stock midi file name, and when you highlight notes in Riffer (in tab view) and try to copy them to another string it just moves them. Copying them seems to work in the piano roll view.

New here and new to Ample Sound. Just bought the Taylor acoustic. I think my problem is related to the one MadFloyd is describing. Just to make sure I'm on the same page: when I set up a chord type on the chord lane, I want the Taylor to play exactly the note I set up on the chord lane (the chord diagram) reflected on the Taylor fretboard. Is that feature already implemented in the software or be implemented in a future version? Thanks for your help!

This feature is already implemented.

In Piano Roll mode:
Since pitch is determined by the mouse’s Y-axis, the notes you input will be automatically assigned to the correct strings based on the Position you selected in the Chord Settings.

In Tab mode:
Since each note is already tied to a specific string, the system uses your Chord Settings to prioritize inserting the correct chord notes.

These new behaviors are already included in the newly released Ample Guitar WF.

We will add the same improvements to all other guitars in the upcoming 4.02 update.

Additionally, we have added over 1GB of new samples to Ample Guitar PF.
We will continue upgrading the entire Ample Guitar series — please stay tuned!

There are two functions I was familiar with that I'm struggling with on the update. Someone help me out please.

1. The move function - It used to be on the bottom toolbar but I can't see any sight or reference to it now. I realise I can use the string selector to move sections vertically but how can I do it horizontally too?

2. Copy / Paste function - When I paste it produces a copy of the selected section at the start of piano roll rather than where the cursor is pointed. This means that I then need to move the pasted section again which is made more difficult by the lack of move function.

If anyone can help me with either of these I would be super greatful. Thanks

It makes you wanna go back to the previous version, doesn't it? I'm not a fan of version 4...
