Well... the UI has a few areas that will be improved throughout the public beta phase. Like, the previews of the filter responses are still work in progress and simply show up as "WIP". Such that, the UI won't be final for a while, but I don't see that as an obstacle to beta testing.exmatproton wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 11:54 pma nice screenshot would be nice indeedShiek927 wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 11:02 pm No worries!!

So the screenshots I posted from page 101 of this thread are still pretty much valid:

The filter picker has two more rows with 9 entries each, one row for allpasses and one for phasers. So I think we're at 102 filter algorithms now.

As someone who's brain leans much more creative than logical the UI on these screenshots is significantly easier for me to comprehend than Zebra2/HZ.
E.g. the visualisation of ADSR or the LFO shapes but especially the lower bar and lower pane are more intuitive and immediately accessible for me, including seemingly trivial changes like calling it "FX/Out" rather than "Global".

Hi! I've almost never commented on the forums but I wanna say congrats to Urs & team for getting so close to release after such a long development! :]
The UI looks great, and it's one of the aspects that I've always loved about the u-he plugins. Some of the best interface design in the biz imo. Having said that, I'm not a huge fan of the green hue. I've always found the warmer muted Zebra 2.8 colors very classy so I hope that eventually there can be an alt color scheme more in that direction! I don't know if it's going to launch with an alternate look but just wanted to give that bit of feedback now that it's so close to launch.

What sort of software protection will be implemented for the public betas?
Will our Zebra2/HZ licences allow us to save/recall presets?
Or will the beta testing phase be more similar to that of Zebralette3 was, without function restriction, but perhaps with an expiry date for each subsequent beta release?

Lack of preset save feature in the beta/demo is bad decision. So i hope not.MrJubbly wrote: Wed Dec 03, 2025 2:29 pm What sort of software protection will be implemented for the public betas?

It's a very easy way to kneecap the functionality for people without a licence though...eclipse_soundlab wrote: Wed Dec 03, 2025 4:23 pm

You'll just have to retrieve your licenses from My Licenses on our website and there'll be a Zebra 3 license.MrJubbly wrote: Wed Dec 03, 2025 2:29 pm What sort of software protection will be implemented for the public betas?

Still toying with the idea. We often has a Beta Tester license that would expire after some months... hmmm... depends on how busy we are.Or will the beta testing phase be more similar to that of Zebralette3 was, without function restriction, but perhaps with an expiry date for each subsequent beta release?

My main concern is that the GUI not be tiny on laptop screens, to the point to where it won't fit on the screen if you enlarge it to a size to where it's useable. I'm looking at you Xils Lab The Eighty!

The greens are actually very beautiful if you ask me. So I hope they're not removed, or at least we have the option to keep them the way they are now.Urs wrote: Wed Dec 03, 2025 2:14 pm Yeah, I think we'll remove a lot of green until the final release...

For someone who is desperately rushing to get a new synth out, you're spending a lot of time on a forum
