Guess what does though? the old version of String Studio tech AAS licensed to Ableton for Live as Tension.![]()
So far only their new modular synth does MPE, because F*ck you, that's why.![]()

Ha yah random morning thought - for a gaming analog, it is something like the new Oblivion - in between a remaster and a remake.

And I long for the type of manuals from before the time of computers. Now a manual is sometimes thrown together with bits and pieces copied from left and right without logical build-up. A good manual is made from the ground up, step by step, where every item or concept is clearly defined and nothing is taken as known or evident. It preferably also gets proofread by someone who knows absolutely nothing of the particular item the manual deals with, to see if any obvious questions remain unanswered. Oh and ban the sentence "you can", explain in detail how whatever it is that "you can" is done.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sat Dec 06, 2025 7:17 pm Will there be a boxed version? I’d love a hard copy of the user manual like the olden days where I had a shelf dedicated to NI manuals.
PS If you'd like to see an example of an absolutely horrible "manual" have look at the "manuals" for the AS guitars that work on UVI.

So put a waveshaper after the filter and you get your screaming filter.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sat Dec 06, 2025 11:57 pm Absynth doesn’t necessarily need the best analog modeled filters however there is some room for improvement there. Like virus style screaming resonant overdriven filters never hurt.

So excited for Absynth 6! While we all love it for its sound, one of Absynth's distinct features for which I love it even more has been the UI and its colour.
So, even just a bigger/resizable UI in Absynth 6 would be enough for me. But pretty sure we would get more than that. Being able to use it in Komplete Kontrol would be a much welcome addition.

While we should find out in a couple of days, I hope there will be an upgrade path for those who own previous versions of Absynth, either as a standalone product or a part of Komplete bundle.

Sooo, I have Absynth 2 and 3 on retail CDs with serial numbers, that I apparently never registered. I think I had a crash or switched machines, and never reloaded them, until today, and trying to register from within the app no longer works. What to do?

There’s always an upgrade option going to a new version number of a synth.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 10:55 am While we should find out in a couple of days, I hope there will be an upgrade path for those who own previous versions of Absynth, either as a standalone product or a part of Komplete bundle.

A KVR truism - however great A Thing is, it will always frustrate some people because it is not A Different Thing.

Yes, I kinda stated the obvious for the standalone product part, but I hope there will be an upgrade path/discount for those (including me) who own Absynth 5 as a part of Komplete bundle.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 1:40 pmThere’s always an upgrade option going to a new version number of a synth.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 10:55 am While we should find out in a couple of days, I hope there will be an upgrade path for those who own previous versions of Absynth, either as a standalone product or a part of Komplete bundle.

Yeah I mean NI has always allowed upgrades of individual products when you own it as part of Komplete.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 1:51 pmYes, I kinda stated the obvious for the standalone product part, but I hope there will be an upgrade path/discount for those (including me) who own Absynth 5 as a part of Komplete bundle.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 1:40 pmThere’s always an upgrade option going to a new version number of a synth.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 10:55 am While we should find out in a couple of days, I hope there will be an upgrade path for those who own previous versions of Absynth, either as a standalone product or a part of Komplete bundle.

Question, (in Dwight Schrute voice) Is there no Absynth 5 showing in my NI acc. b/c officially it was discontinued? I hope so b/c I def. have Absynth 5 but I don't see it. At least on NI's website when I log in.

Hm. Absynth 5 is still showing in my native access.

I guess yours was standalone and not part of Komplete? Either way, don't you see it in Native Access?nusound mind wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 2:55 pm Question, (in Dwight Schrute voice) Is there no Absynth 5 showing in my NI acc. b/c officially it was discontinued?
