I know that UI/UX issues are preventing SynthMaster 3 to become a popular synth, so I have some ideas in mind to introduce more flexible UI choices for the layer view: Introduce different (narrow, normal and wide user interfaces for instance) for the osc/filter/modulation sources so that we can fit more of them on the screen. I will first introduce this concept with the release of the iOS version, and hopefuly the desktop version will follow next, around Q4 2026.
Idk if I have problems with what you gave as example... for me it´s more the looks in general than specific issues...

It is precious technicalwise... but it looks kind of cheap...

I find the tranquil blue the only useable option for it and I cannot exactly identify it but it still doesn´t reach the crispiness and clarity of others... the top bar is kind of blurry with this kind of shadow in the script, the contrast isn´t there, Oscillator and envelopes aren´t as "sharp" and detailed like the others... and it is it´s "shop window"...
Like a jewelry store which shows it´s diamants on potato sacks instead of blue-black velvet (overdriven... no offense...just to make clear what I mean!)...
Again I cannot really spot it but for me it´s the whole picture in general more than some specific use problems:

Hi

First of all, a correction: This issue would ONLY happen if mod wheel is modulating envelope attack/decay/release times. Other modulations would NOT cause such an issue. So please don't assume that every preset with mod wheel assigned would have such an issue :)

ALSO

I tested the preset you reported (LED Cool Breeze) with a complex midi file (KV331: Rondo Alla Turca :D), and I moved the mod wheel slider up and down. I tested with both SynthMaster One 1.6.2 and SynthMaster 3.4.6. I can NOT reproduce the issue so far. My DAW is Reaper. Are you using FL Studio?
A quick way to trigger a stuck note, is hold down a chord then modulate up and down ten or so times, and it either triggers an extra note or when you release the keys on sustained sounds, the note continues

I did send a video of this happening to support a while ago and whoever I spoke to seemed to verify what I had found

I've tried just a few factory presets in synthmaster one. It happens on

115 BT wavetable bass1
118 BT wavetable bass4
1052 whining sweep
1028 pad VT wavetable feedback
866 lonely greek
616 sleep well
685 cool breeze
196 wiry 80s
1089 PNO 73 mkl

MW is used on a lot of presets for expression (plus my own) but obviously those are not usable for me

Yes I'm using FLstudio

I'm not trying to badmouth your products, I promise. I just forget about the bug sometimes, fire up a synth and then quickly realise I can't use it

I know that you only want this issue to be fixed, so no worries on that. BTW, this issue has nothing to do with mod wheel+envelope parameters, as all of the above presets except "cool breeze" has mw+envelope parameters modulations assigned.

I tested this issue with FL Studio, with FL Studio ASIO selected as output device, buffer size = 256

I turned on and off "use fixed size bufffers" setting for SynthMaster One / SynthMaster 3 tracks. (Please try to turn on "use fixed size buffers" and see if that resolves your issue)

fixed size buffers.jpg

So far, I can not reproduce this issue. I tested with

VT wavetable bass1
VT wavetable bass4
whining sweep
cool breeze

Please try to give me as much detail as possible about your system. what is the output device? its buffer size? what is the engine buffer size/quality settings in SynthMaster One/3. and please don't forget this: If a developer can not reproduce your issue, s/he can't fix it.

Thanks

Thanks. Yes! fixed size buffers seems to have fixed the problem

I should have thought of trying that which usually fixes any odd behaviour. Usually it's only necessary for when everything sounds wrong

Thanks for helping me out and being so patient with my complaints :tu:

I think a proper skin could change the complete impression of the plugin and gives it the attention it deserves! :tu:
I don´t know of many developers/companies who are so eager of pushing their product to the next level and caring about their customers...
Maybe the looks were standing a bit in your way... for me at least it was the case.

Make it now a beauty not just for functions but for the looks as well and maybe this will solve your sale issues too!

I agree that a new SM3 skin would be really nice, I find the skin offerings not as good as SM2

As a user who work last 8 year with it and made a lot of presets for it ,because it's so user friendly,i could say it's pretty unique and intuitive synth.
It has classic Sylenth1 type gui, which gives you same friendly workflow with some improvements.
I used both for years side by side as dynamic duo - Sylenth1 for classic analog-ish or 90's like sound and sm1 for modern stuff i can't do with syl1.
For super thick sound mandatory x16 voice unison in serial mode with two filters.
Considering that sm1 is free now, don't hesitate and download it.
If like and use it - support the develop and buy sm3 for more pro sound.
SM3 is way more powerful, especially using multilayer structure.
Basic difference in the sound is that sm3 is more polished and pro in details and have every modulation option you can imagine.
Cheers :)

Just as an example, the Mona skin for Diva looks really good. I’d vote for something similar to that one. It has different looks depending on which modules are loaded.

I gravitate towards a gui that has either one of these properties:

1) Linearity- an interface where I can make decisions in one systematic ordering with modification parameters elsewhere a la Massive X; roughly speaking Osc-> Filter-> Effects in one direction

or

2) Setup with clear physical differences like Dune, albeit others do not like the gui that much, it is easy for me at a glance to discern what's going on because it's modeled after a physical representation of a hardware instrument. If my eyes are going to have to jump around, this makes it easier to me.

That looks really pretty indeed!

"How good is Synthmaster ONE?"

as good as Hive2 but lighter on CPU and price.

Even the best synth can be the worst for someone.
If it doesn't function properly in your environment, it doesnt matter that I say its superb.

Though it is beautifully designed and tip my hat to Plugmon. But, due to the use of contrast (or lack thereof) and the chosen color scheme I actually find it more fatiguing to work with over the original Diva GUI as it takes more work from your eyes to locate things. Whereas with the original all it takes is a quick glance.

Good design is both about how it looks AND how it works.

I contacted Plugmon already, but looks like he is busy.
