That very much depends on where you live, I think.

Maybe. I think if Philip Lynott and Thin Lizzy used the lyric ''To look so gay'' in a modern song, people would not immediately think he is referring to a person who is trying to look carefee, even though deep down they feel weary. He is putting on a happy disposition for the public. People today would most likely assume that he is referring to something else and I wouldn't blame them.
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Ive always associated the term diva with a particular type of singing. In the past someone handed me a mic and said I was going to go diva, which is me impersonating a female singing style

I've come to associate "diva" as a noun with a single breakthrough genre masher: Lady Gaga, whom is not recognized as an electronica artist but nonetheless whose breakthrough works all sit precisely under the literal definition of "electronica", using almost exclusively electronic instruments and processing even for vocal tracks.
I wouldn't associate an interpretation of something like "Diva" (the software synthesizer or associated) with anything other than exactly what Lady Gaga represented after 2008. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Urs was inspired by the same article I read that year denoting the artist as "the redefinition of a diva."
If not, it's an awful coincidence that those three hit albums happened to be released immediately before Diva and that they all contain a massive amount of "analog synthesizers and effects" used in very creative ways. So much so that the genre labels used for Lady Gaga are almost never "electronica with vocals" despite being obviously so. Comparable artists might be Yellow Magic Orchestra with their 1978 "Kraftwerk-esque" releases 30 years prior.

No! That's like saying "I love this guy! He's just the absolute exemplar of what a dude is meant to be! The clothes he wears, his style, even his watch! ... the one thing I don't like is the pattern on his tie."

Maybe Diva part 2 will be the addition of, Divo, Diva's digital oscillators counterpart? Digital-impersonating vintage oscillators....or something.
