Yeah def my next soft synth purchase. I'm in no rush, I have a newborn at home so I spend way more time thinking about making music than I have time actually creating.swilow11 wrote: Mon Feb 02, 2026 10:32 pmHonestly not sure. Their stuff is relatively affordable either way. Tal Mod cost me about $50aud which is great considering it can do so much. All the stuff I've got by them is awesome tbh (Sampler, Bassline and Tal Mod- hell, Noisemaker is freaking great too and free).HOTF wrote: Mon Feb 02, 2026 9:27 pmDo you how often TAL stuff is on sale? Only BF or multiple sales a year ?swilow11 wrote: Mon Feb 02, 2026 9:04 pm Do it. It's one of my favourite synths. Filters sound great, lovely organic FM stuff and can get very deep. It always interesting how much can be done with a few basic waveforms.
My only complaints are the filter saturation which usually makes things quieter and the incredibly gentle slope on the high pass filter in the master chain. It would be better if had adjustable values there. To significantly cut lows, you need to get to something like 1khz or higher.
TalMod is my main VA, I'd compare it favourably to greats such as Diva, The Legend HZ etc.

Why is this $100 on KVR and $39 on the TAL website?

Looks like a pricing error on tal site. Can remember buying it for at least 50€ when it was released.
Ok found it, was around 57€ inc. German Vat.

Well if it's an error, then anyone who wants it should jump on it before they sort it out.

I think it's always been around $40. I got my license during Black Friday for about $23 using the BF discount and my 15% loyalty discount for owning TAL-Drum.cake builder wrote: Wed Feb 04, 2026 5:55 pm Well if it's an error, then anyone who wants it should jump on it before they sort it out.

First impression based on some very limited Time with it. Sounds awesome - workflow is really simple. Very nice balance of ease of use and flexibility for a meat and potatoes VA synth.

I just bought it. I don't really need it but it's fun to use and great quality. I'm wondering how to get the black knobs as shown in the manual. As far as I can tell it's not possible to change the knob colour with settings

If you click the 2x L and 2x R buttons it should double the speed, making it 1/16. But that's the fastest it'll go in sync mode.HOTF wrote: Sat Feb 07, 2026 6:08 pm Am I dumb or the delay dosent go faster than 1/8th in sync mode ?
