I'd like to consider myself something of a just-past-early-learning-centre Reaper user. Mixed a bunch of published tracks. Forked the Mackie Control plugin to enable the use of ultra-wide mini LCD displays as an extension to said control surface's crap LCD matrix display. You know... normal Reaper user stuff.
Only the other day, while working creatively as opposed to technically, did I stumble on to the fact that every channel in Reaper's mixing console exhibits a dedicated attenuation meter. For the sake of demonstration I added a bunch of the included ReaLimiter, which does report to said meters, with absurd settings such that all the attenuation meters flickered, here:
https://organistsonline.org/reaper/reap ... meters.mp4
As a person who works/mixes/records both with ears and eyes, it would be wonderful if Melda's MCompressor (which I use everywhere) and other dynamics plugins could report to the very same system.
And the more blinkenlights the more the customer believes you're doing something really important.
Would love to see it. Literally. Hopefully an easy implementation. Thanks in advance.
