I hear ya! Black Label PH-2 would totally make my day too! :tu:

Chief Phaser for the win!

Would love to see Luca do a Small Stone phaser first. I have a black label PH-2 and it’s a love hate relationship. Unless you’re doing strictly weedy reggae guitar chanks or want that Mike Einzinger Incubus fast leslie rotary speaker effect, it’s kind of a one trick pony. Probably decent for layering but it never stays on my live board long.

I wouldn’t mind some more EHX pedals from Audiority. I had a big box Small Clone chorus for a while and tried several smaller clones from other pedal companies. I’ve sold every actual analog chorus pedal i had though, maybe because I just don’t like chorus that much…but that’s because I have the MIJ BF-2 that has stayed on my board since I got it…which that can do similar Boss CE chorus type sounds too, just turn the resonance/feedback all the way down.

I love PH-2 for this "delayed phaser" effect with increased resonance and depth on max. youtu.be/lWce2Lxssas?t=754

I'm all for Small Stone. I even asked which one ppl would vote for. EHX V2 from late 70's, early 80's V3 without LED, 90's Sovtek.

Then again, what's the point of asking. Truth is, we want all three :P

Just realized what I was thinking of...
You can stop the sweep by turning down the Depth all the way. Then you can turn up the resonance and get some really weird, metallic sounds. You can actually "play" the Manual control, to make different pitches. The plugin does recreate this. :tu:

Yes, it’s the “Cities In Dust” effect.

I'm playing with Eurorack recently (surely you haven't noticed at all! XD). I want to see what happens if I can port that, so I can use any kind of CV generator to control the MANUAL param :D

PH-1r FTW
From the quick search, it's built on 4 JFETs, just like Phase 90. PH-1 is often called "Phase 90 with a depth knob", and PH-1R added a resonance control.

JFETs should be much easier to figure out than OTA's PH-2 and Small Stone are built upon. AFAIK, a good OTA algo is a hell of a task to write. But I still hope Audiority gets there in the end.

Dr. Phase is a brilliant JFET algo, so there's some experience with that acquired already (with great results).

BTW, Carlo from Audiothing should be looking into Bi-Phase, he mentioned that was something in the pipeline. So hopefully soon Arturia Bi-Tron and Audio Damage Phase Three will have to move over a little :D

Yeah, that's where my head was at: Biphase and MXR are covered in software form. And I don't rate Boss personally.

So that makes a software version of the Small Stone highly appealing. Particularly considering the Arts Acoustic one has been unsupported for years and is super buggy.

Yep, a real shame about that Big Rock phaser. If only they kept supporting it, by now it would be a perfect Small Stone V2 model and that chapter would be long closed.

I'm also waiting for someone to look into this gem of a pedal.

We never used iLoks and we'll never be.
