Yes that. It's already in there and easy, no need really for a different way to do this.

Okay, yeah that works.. except it's not exactly intuitive as it's not "standard" operation.Viktor [TUC] wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 2:45 pmYes that. It's already in there and easy, no need really for a different way to do this.
With right click you need to set frequency, then tweak Q, then fine tune frequency, then fine tune Q etc. etc. Whereas with mouse wheel you can do it all in one motion while tweaking both at the same time. This is why it has become a standard.

I'd be happy to have hover mouse wheel control Q
I just tried Control-Drag and it isn't laggy for me. I mainly use right-click drag for Q. I find that easier than using control key.

I would love some way to adjust all nodes together... especially frequency. It's pretty tedious to move nodes as a group.muki wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 2:43 pm in re EQ:
i think some sort of a (general) MIX knob would be cool

We've prepared three videos for the release, but none are sound design tutorials.ThoughtExperiment wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 1:16 pm So, Urs, now that we're this close to official release - and after the u-He team have all had a nice little well-deserved rest of course - how soon can we expect some classy u-He tutorial videos? I know I've been mucking about with it since the first beta but Z3 is one DEEP instrument, and sound-design is not one of my strong points (not even sure if I have any strong points), so I could do with a little hand-holding to help me get the most out of it.
I think we'll spend the months after Superbooth on in-depth videos. Probably starting on the surface (one video next week is about the UI), then going into more and more detail with actual real world examples.

Fun fact: When I wrote the first incarnation of the visual EQ editor in 2004 or so, I tried scroll wheel for Q and found it too imprecise. People at the same time requested right-click+drag, as this is "how everyone else does it". Times change, I guess. Maybe we should wrap this in a preference.muki wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 2:37 pm+1+1+1+1bmanic wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 12:13 pm Feature Request (mouse related): Could we please be able to adjust the EQ module nodes 'Q' value with the mouse wheel? Currently mouse wheel on top of an EQ node does absolutely nothing. Mouse wheel adjusting Q is pretty much standard as it is right now (thanks to FabFilter Pro-Q which everybody has copied).
YES please !!!!
pretty pretty please
imho also true for filterscape/filterscapeVA
the ctrl- doesn't do the trick imho and is laggy
and only works if i first clickt ctrl and then do the click-dragging
and not freely whilst (i.e.: drag the EQ dot then hit ctrl to freely adjust Q) ...
already wanted to write this myself, but took a while
to read through all of those messages...

Right mouse click drag adjusts Q... no need for a second hand to use the Control key.muki wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 3:38 pmexcept, that i have to sacrify a hand which is normally on the (musical-) keyboard...Viktor [TUC] wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 2:45 pm Yes that. Quick question about Zebra 3 upgrade pricing.
For users who owned Zebra 2 before it was rebranded as Zebra Legacy, is the 30€ upgrade price only available during the beta period, or will it remain the permanent upgrade price?
