Native Linux VST3 builds of all 4 OD plugins (Limen, DeEdger, Finesse, Ancora) are up for free testing. No Wine, no yabridge - fully native.

Download and install instructions:
https://beta.ohlhorstdigital.com

These are demo builds (no session parameter recalls) - feedback and bug reports highly appreciated!
Awesome!! Thank you for supporting Linux!! :D
Can I then dream that other Tokyo Dawn Labs plugins could soon land as native Linux? B-D

Magda is an Audio Workstation and uses AI.
This Project is very young. MAGDA is a free and open-source DAW built on JUCE and Tracktion Engine, and Conceptual Machines has just released version 0.4.0. - 0.4.8

Sure you need an AI Model to use this Feature, can be offline/ local as well.
AI Cloud providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) are supported, and so is fully local inference via llama.cpp — no API keys required.

AI: BYOAK-Modell („Bring Your Own API Keys“). You can get or generate API Keys
of running AI Models you use.

You can use you own Plugins. VST3 for Linux, no CLAP
Interesting Feature "Time-Bend" for Midinotes.
Chord Engine, Arpeggiator, Modulations.

A central goal of the project is expandability. The code is released under the GPL-3 license and is open access. This allows developers to contribute their own modules, tools or extensions. MAGDA does not see itself as a closed product, but as a platform that grows with the community.

Little History:

Updates: 1.0.6 from 1/2025
Actual Version:1.2.1 (Edit)
Next Beta announced 3/2026 !!!

A Little Video Selection:
https://www.kvraudio.com/video/audiomodern
https://www.kvraudio.com/product/soundb ... udiomodern

Opinion:

On Linux this Tool feels kinda laggy on MX Linux 23.6 - X11 with good Hardware.
Well i know that Plugins like from u-he (They set the bar and my expectations high) can run VERY good, so i hope AudioModern can optimise this Tool. But also on Windows times a go AudioModern felt a bit sluggish, even though they are always friendly and engaging - and still have some nice tools for sure.

1.2.1 is Feb 2026, not April.

I pinged GS DSP (I love the freebie MMM, but it's not doing well with Wine).
This is the answer from support:

"Yes, I feel you, CLAP / Linux support is on our list and it will be available this year ;) I don‘t know when exactly but stay tuned and subscribe to our newsletter if you haven‘t already!"

High hopes :)

aciddose dropped Xhip and Effects for LNX as alpha

I’m not sure I understand what you mean about Xhip. Are you saying that Xhip is a new product that is an alpha, or are you saying that Acidose dropped the alpha status on version 8.0? His site has been down for months, and I see no change, that’s why I’m asking. 🙂
