I also have a version in the works that handles 10x more samples![]()

I'm thinking of having a DfD mode that pre-loads beginnings of all samples and reads the rest from the disk. This still makes sure there is zero latency.bths80 wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 1:28 am Would there be a benefit if it were to read from disk rather than memory? Thanks

1.2.2 update is here!
Now the plugin handles 500k samples with ease on my device. You can read the changelog included in the zip file.
20+ fixes, 10+ performance optimizations, a lot of details and full Linux DnD support (even works for tiling managers!).
Added new setting - small dots threshold. Defaults to 20k samples, can be adjusted from 0 to 500k. Lower setting increases performance significantly.
I also wrote documentation for it: https://audiomap.net/docs/mini/nodes/

Thank you!hbw wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2026 10:04 pm Purchased this today and really enjoying it so far!
Would it be possible to add the option for monophonic playback when sweeping through samples with a long release envelope set?
As for the monophonic toggle, do you mean to apply the release only on the last played sample? Can you point to a specific case where you'd find using this? Currently, you can set the attack/release to a small value (to prevent clicks) and the difference would be that the last sample would need to have its release time adjusted

I've DM'd you with further information on thisAudioMap wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 11:49 am Thank you!

After weeks of work, 1.3.1 is out! This version contains some significant changes as well as a lot of polish and edge cases, making it even more stable:
- completely new tree-like folder system, preserving original imported file structures: ability to collapse folder structures and drag folders around to change nesting or order
- L key reveals the folder the sample came from,
- Right clicking a folder opens it in file explorer / finder,
- custom X/Y sliders,
- XY scrub mode - spreads points evenly when using X/Y sliders or automation or CC2/CC3,
- Force Mono toggle,
- Pool multi-select,
- Mouse-to-automation throttled,
- Improved analysis for edge cases,
- Folder defaults are now separate from instance edits - meaning you can have multiple instances of Mini in a project with different file structures and solo/mute states and everything gets preserved. "Save as Default" option saves the current structure to defaults,
- Disable Loop Playback toggle,
- and a lot of polish and fixes, e.g.: disabled automation overdub when transport is not running, more thread safety, audio engine polish (disabled phantom triggers, clicks on loop boundaries, sample loop on voice reuse, ...), splash screen only shows upon install and not anymore

I add a folder(25 samples) to the DEMO - nothing on the left hand side (no dots) - WHY??
Does the vst remember the folders added - so new instances have your folders already added??

Hey there, there could be several reasons -zeph wrote: Sun May 17, 2026 1:38 pm I add a folder(25 samples) to the DEMO - nothing on the left hand side (no dots)
1) writing text in the search on top filters samples,
2) default max length is 29s for performance reasons, extending to 30s reveals samples longer than 30s,
3) invalid file formats,
4) having Pool soloed with 0 samples,
5) having loops/duplicates soloed with 0 samples;
Otherwise I'd need more detailed info to understand your situation. The plugin has been tested on many devices.
Yes. In the changelog, I mentioned a change in the workflow - if you want the analysis to persist, click the menu icon (next to the folder icon) and click "Save as Default". Perhaps it would be good to have an obvious button for that. Previously, a folder restructuring would propagate through other instances and it was confusing to users what action would be saved to defaults compared to instance-level. This option makes this distinction very clear.

Is this meant to be used just as an instrument or can I also use it as a sample library browser? - can I drag and drop samples into a DAW for example?
