If you create a sequence in a major scale, it's impossible to play it in a minor one.
But maybe something has been improved in this area recently.

I just put whatever notes I want the arpeggiator to move through in the piano roll in my DAW or play on my MIDI controller and leave Stepic set to chromatic. What you feed into it determines the scale/chord/key.maxym.srpl wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 8:28 pm Yes.. have you tried it?

That's making a scale aware arp/transposable sequence.maxym.srpl wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 8:28 pmYes.. have you tried it?JO512 wrote: Sun Jun 07, 2026 3:34 amScreenshot 2026-06-06 213108b.pngmaxym.srpl wrote: Fri Jun 05, 2026 7:36 pm pity it can’t arpeggiate based on input chord.

A regular arp just breaks up the input chord into its component notes ie. it is scale agnostic to the input.
If you leave Stepic on chromatic then the arp mode scales in parallel with the input like a normal arp.
You can program stepic's sequencer to transpose octaves. It's actually incredibly flexible as an arp.
