actually I never actually bothered with jam points. IK´s only worth it for me during one of those crazy group buys.

I had accumulated a fair amount of jampoints over the years, never used them for software (mainly cause the VAT in Europe wipes them out), but I did buy a ToneX One and used some of my jampoints to get the price down a good bit, so they were worth something in the end.

Just bought the UAD dbx160 at JRRShop (currently on sale for $29 plus FORUM discount :hihi: ) and the order confirmation says completed but I have not received the redeem code to use at UAD. It says the code will be generated in my account page but the code is blank. Never encountered this before, do I just have to wait?

Examigan wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2026 2:24 pm I have about 92 points already, but you can only use a certain percentage of them.

Also, you can’t take the 50% off and use jam points. It’s one or the other.
just one of the many ways IK tricks it's customers....
JamPoints are loyalty points that can net up to 30% off. They can't be combined with coupons, that's not abnormal to not stack a 50% coupon with another 30% off or similar. These aren't tricks, if you are confused about either promo/coupon codes or JamPoints you can check https://www.ikmultimedia.com/jampoints where it explains the program. Thanks!

Interesting that you're sooo forthcoming about this now. Not when you posted the sale link.
How honorable of you! You know full well that that most customers ARE NOT aware of this detail until they try to checkout. That's just the kind of games IK plays with it's loyal customers, and why I'm not one of them.

Interesting that this is all explained clearly in the link to the promotion in my original post in the Bargains Only thread...

It says it clearly as soon as you click the link. Every developer has conditions on their promos and coupons. I’m not saying it’s the best deal or that I wouldn’t grab it for less, but you’re way off with your snarky takedown.

I prefer to do business with companies that I don't have to read the fine print...

Does that even exist anymore?

Jampoints are cool. You get nice discounts when buying hardware and if you register the hardware you get more jampoints. Stop criticizing everything. Live your life folks. It doesn't do good to your hearts.

Post

When you register a product, they remind you about the points. This is from an email after I registered a product a few years ago:

“Check your User Area for any added Jam Points included with your registration. To read more on how loyal users can take advantage of Jam Points click here.”

No “trickery” involved.

Post

My favorite is when something (like TS Max) goes on sale for $99.99, but you can't use JamPoints to get a 30% discount unless the item is $100.00 or more. Yeah, 15% is better than nothing, but sometimes it gets annoying playing these stupid marketing games. Of course I'm not saying this is exclusive to IKM, but it's just another example.

Post

Well another example off IK Multimedia wasting my time is to offer a €50 off Arc on Ear for €199.99 without vat. With 25% VAT that is €249.99. Since it can't be used with jampoints the offer is worth zero to me because I'm already drowning in useless jampoints. With jampoints the offer is about €237 with vat and that is more than I can get it at thomann with 3 years of warranty. If IK Multimedia made a simple SQL call they could check my amount of jampoints and filter me out of this newsletter offer that has no value at all and just wastes my time.
