There is literally a tune button on the front panel. And it performs the same function...recalibrating the oscillators for big temp changes. It might be more advanced (I dont know if the older revs had calibration tables or not) but it's still the same point.Synthbuilder wrote: Mon Jun 22, 2026 2:32 pmThe rev 4 has no autotune button as such, but it knows the internal temperature and uses calibration tables which have been created at various temperatures. It is possible for the user to create new tables and erase any previously stored tables. It is recommended to do this if the tuning of the machine is a little loose.D-Fusion wrote: Mon Jun 22, 2026 9:23 am... the Gforce Sequential Prophet 5 is more unique since it copies the Analog tuning without any option to turn it off...
The manual says to run the calibration procedure the first time you turn on the instrument to have it calibrate to your particular location and rerun several more times over the next several days. And again if you move to somewhere much warmer or cooler.
"The first time you use the Prophet-5, please run its built-in calibration
procedure. Repeat the calibration procedure as needed over the next few
days of use. The Prophet-5 learns the range of temperatures at your location and will keep itself in tune over this range.
Later, if you use the Prophet-5 in a different environment that is measurably warmer or cooler (on stage, in an air-conditioned studio, and so on) run the calibration procedure again."
