but my current plan is still valid until October 16.
So it's best to wait until October 15 to get the latest version for a full year, right?

God updating Waves plugins, even without factoring in WUP, is so complicated! I did the update to 17 as prompted when I started Waves central but then I also had to go into my account and update the licenses then install them again.

If you extend WUP while still covered, a 1-year extension is added on top of your current end date.
No need to wait till the last day.

I’d like buy into a few of those developer’s products that deserve more attention. For example, I thought Odin was one of them, but that’s a free plugin.

I’d like buy into a few of those developer’s products that deserve more attention. For example, I thought Odin was one of them, but that’s a free plugin.

There's a few really good independent developers in the Reason Rack Extension ecosystem. Even if you don't use Reason as a DAW, you can still use the instruments/effects as a VST3/AU/AAX plugin.

No, just get it now, waiting until the day before your plan expires won't do anything beneficial, it's going to expire on that day regardless unless you pay to extend

I have several licenses that say they expire today, but there’s no option to update them/get the latest version (aside from renewing WUP). Several of them did have that option, though. I’m so confused
