I wonder how many years ago I bought that.
Anyway, I wish he would do vst3 for his stuff.

It sounds good, and he quickly fixed the minor bug I found!

Yeah I bought it before I moved to Mac

AQ is claiming "zero bug status across all our products, of which we’re so proud and that so few other companies can claim."

It's probably a lot easier to claim when you don't actually support modern formats or operating systems.

I own a license but I am afraid to click on any links on that mess of a website or even visit it.
I think I have to look for alternatives

Mike said ' VST3 and Apple Silicon are next but it will mean starting over and throwing away our 100% bug-free status and re-doing about 95% of the work that goes into a plugin, and we've already promised not to charge our customers for the next major version update so we make nothing from it, unlike Apple, Steinberg and the rest of the megacorporate industry that forced this unhelpful bloat on everyone. Please direct him to this URL: https://www.admiralquality.com/about/#vst3silicon
'
He also says- ' they're just Google ads. '

“we make nothing from it” is false. Mike will finally start making money from sales again, which I’m sure dried up a decade ago. So supporting VST3 and Apple Silicon are very much in his financial interest.

“Apple, Steinberg and the rest of the megacorporate industry that forced this unhelpful bloat on everyone.” Another unserious statement from an unserious person.

Said as if he is the only developer expected to be compatible with non-deprecated formats. And yeah providing formats people are actually using means people may actually buy them, so I’d say it’s in his financial interest. Also it’s fair to charge a bit for a major upgrade so that’s his choice. Some devs add some new features with paid format updates to sweeten the deal.

Yeah, that vst3 is so new, it's going to take a while for him to catch up.

Give the bloke a break ffs...

Post

CLAP may be a good way to go as it seems there is a pretty easy CLAP to vst3 conversion.

Oh, my... This blog post alone is enough for me to never buy anything from them.

They basically shift the blame for the ads on Google, when in fact they have made their website a big billboard for Google to inject whatever content Google wants, without AQ even being able to know what is displayed to each visitor. But of course they have nothing to do with it, except for taking the money which is the only reason these "scammy looking" ads had to stay up so long.

Fortunately, these ads had only been "scammy looking". For a moment I thought they would in fact be scammy because they can have actual consequences when you click on them.

And the "100% bug free" stance is obviously bull$#!t as every serious developer knows.

Unprofessional on every level, IMO. No surprise they are banned and have to resort to use proxies to communicate here now.
