I think i discovered a bug.
So when i randomize the section to the top right corner....only the samples in 8 slots ....it randomize in slot 6 or sometimes anywhere....only 3 or 4 samples an goes back to the first one. This happens when i randomize only my 2 User Samples folder each filled with 128 samples and the factory samples are switched off.
Is there a limit for a user samples folder ?
When i randomize only the factory samples it works great...
Yeah, nah. The user selection shouldn't be breaching the specified folders.
If you have discord I'd go on there to mention it. I'll test it to make sure it's broken and if it is the case, it will be fixed.

Ah ok. I think PAM does a great PAM job of doing slice work, and midi to slice routing would be a great general function addition. It's no deal breaker if not added, as PAM does her thing regardless.

And would you believe it, it's just been added! Tested and ready for release, I believe, later today?
I'll check on the MIDI-to-slice thing, sounds reasonable. (although I think something like that is in there already?)

(checking).. yeah the button beneath the MARKERS button labelled ->SEQ should do it?

Post

Wuuut? Already? Actually, knowing how you guys roll I'm not that surprised. Still, that's awesome! And I'll look into that ->SEQ button further. PAM can't help but to be button centric, there's a universe of possibilities in it.

I'm at work now so I have to wait on trying the update but good gods man, so many big tings happening in just this one. You're the one for me PAM---

So I seen in the FAQs on the website that each cell can also load a VST instrument. Does that use multi-output VSTs (I'm guessing not, but could be wrong)? And does that include modulations for the VST parameters as well in the modulation pages?
I read more than post = I listen more than I talk

Right now plug-in loading is in a primitive state. From what I gather Serum2 works ok (unable to test right now) so if you have that that you can try. I don't think the cells support multi-channel out so your guess is correct. I believe the plan is to improve the plug-in loading support but (you may or may not know) providing a plug-in loading layer to a .. plug-in is hard work. Lots of formats, GUI frameworks, and exceptions to the standard rules (the various ways developers exploit the limitations of the plug-in formats) make it quite difficult.

The function _is_ enabled in the Experimental section of the plug-in so I wouldn't expect it be fully functioning and supported while it's there. When it migrates out of there I'd be confident it works as well as any other plug-in hosting plug-in, including automation and (maybe) multi-outs.

I'd probably just disable it (unless you have serum2 and enjoy the riskiness of working with experimental functions; some do!) until it's been completed.

I _think_ there's enough to be getting on with without needing to load 3rd party things :)

That just seems like adding more cpu load, when it’s already pretty cpu heavy. Hopefully, they keep it optional.
