I read that as meaning the July 6 to August 4 period will be used to evaluate the plugins and choose the winners.

That or one day to test and 30 to tally up the votes, haha. It is quite ambigious but obviously they meant what the above poster said.

I just took part in the challenge. Uploaded yesterday. If I didn't mess up the form. I'm really bad at such things.

Ok it's 6th of July, 3 am in Germany. I think I can update the product page for my entry on my website. And in the morning I'll check the page on KVR.

Also, i don't have a mac license verified account thing and I don't plan on shelling out 100 bucks for one just this contest. I hope simply giving people a command in terminal to install it even without verification will work

Alright, have both the mac and windows uploaded

At some point I will add some install instructions text or something in the rar if necessary. Hopefully I can relay that info in whatever thread will be created to discuss the entries.

I have to admit that the double flag “Draft” + “KVR DC Entry” was a rather creative use of boolean logic. Omitting the timezone was the cherry on top. I still have no idea whether I need to set the entry to live or leave it as draft. There is nothing that indicates whether it will be automated and when.

If you are planning on entering the KVR Developer Challenge 2026 you do so here.

You can update / tweak it at any time but it must not be set live.

Ensure you choose the "2026" option from the drop-down list. This will mark this product as a KVRDC26 entry.

Files can be uploaded using the "Upload" buttons next to the appropriate OS Download fields or via the Files (Uploads) on your KVR dashboard - Please use the "Publicly Accessible Folder" options as the "Private Folder" option will only work for products available for sale in the KVR Marketplace.

Add the uploaded file(s) to the appropriate OS Direct Download field(s) using the appropriate "Add" button.

You can share the download link with your beta testers but please do not make it public or your entry will be disqualified.

The entries will not go live until the DC submissions closing date.

TLDR: set the 2026 flag in the product page, set the status as draft, and wait

Is it possible to get clarity on what time (incl time zone) the correctly flagged entries will automatically change status from draft to live please?

I think if we set it live it might be disqualified so don't do that! That's how I read that stuff.

The DC is always a little vague

I've been away all week so it was a bit stupid having the cut-off for July 5th

We'll be checking all submissions today and they should be set live en-masse later today (tomorrow at the latest). Then voting until August 4thish.
