Cheers Mod ,Sorry the remark you made earlier just felt very patronising but now i understand your point but i also thought that that was the point to conversation and foums in general ?

What? To be patronising? I really hope so, or I've been getting it all wrong for so many years.Nu Audio Science wrote: but i also thought that that was the point to conversation and foums in general ?

Yeah, I figure it comes with the territory, and I've noticed Americans seem to assume I'm German or something unless I sound like a supercillious c*nt.Nu Audio Science wrote:Well you are English dudevalley wrote:What? sorry if I came off that way... I was being a bit sarcastic. There was just a point in time when this forum inspired creativity.. ya know, figure out clever ways to make due with what you have, and as of late it's more about worrying about things one ultimately has no control over.

Gotta say, I preffered the forum when people were working out what *could* be done with Tracktion, rather than what *couldn't*.
Still, as you say: no point worrying about things one ultimately has no control over.
I'll just go fry me a groundhog or two.

Sure would. Got enough damn bloody plugs as it is...Nu Audio Science wrote:You know i thought i was gonna get blasted but it seems theres a lot of folks would like a no plugin version for less ?
for now!
Another negative point about the plugs included with T2: Are they really the full versions? As one example,
Linplug RMIV costs $150 USD by itself.
Do the math, people...
I'd say these are either demo or limited versions of the full plugs.

I don't think that necessarily follows does it?db wrote:Do the math, people...
LinPlug were selling plugs at below their retail only a while back as a group-buy.
A garaunteed cash flow is a garaunteed cash flow. I'd take a less on a product if I knew I was going to sell a crap load more of them.

It would be a shame, but god the interface is nice. I've played with DR-008 in the past, and i've never really been able to get on with it for some reason, despite everyone else loving it. I'm liking the RMIV interface a lot though, despite not having a manual i've got a multilayered drumkit going easy as pie. The demo version completely works, except it makes a noise every couple of minutes. A bit like the Tracktion demo ...

I was merely mentioning that the plugs could be cut down versions, not that they would be. If they be full versions, then great, even though I have some of them. I'm not interested in T2 for the plugs anyway.valley wrote:I don't think that necessarily follows does it?db wrote:Do the math, people...

If the RM is the full package it would be stunning because its the only soft drums i dont own (I love drums
)
But lets be honest about this are Linplug gonna put a full release on something thats likely to be in the shops for the same price as their DL version ,Constant cashflow is one thing but that is complete business suicide.
Lets all pray for the kamikaze drum machine

I;d say it is as likely that the plug is limited to Tracktion as it is cut down[1].
Perhaps they would lose a sale to a Tracktion customer, but a cubase user is still going to have to buy RMIV if they want to use it in Cubase.
I hope it is the full version, 'cos that'd rock.
[1] in terms of software, not included samples - I agree with those who suspect the included library will be smaller.
