Video of T2 at NAMM

I wasn't criticizing him somuch as wondering why Mackie had him give such an incredibly unprepared demo. More people saw that video demo than saw it live at NAMM, that really makes Mackie look unprofessional as an organization. He could have done it way better, regardless of those goggles. Someone dropped the ball, definitely his boss, maybe him (definitely him actually, if it were I, even if I thought the product blew, I'd still figure out the + sides and talk them up. That is his job as the demo guy afterall. He didn't really seem to care).

There is simply no excuse for a bad product demo. Just count the number of times he said "UMM" and you know that he didnt have any direction or even a outline. No excuse, and yes I could name 5 people on this forum that could have done better.

HI
Look I haven't used T1 for more than a few minutes but the one thing I do know is I would have written down several 'hit points' to base the dialogue on and certainly the improved graphics/layout would have been a biggie along with the plug-in bundle, why the new midi editing screen was not shown is a mystery as that would have been a good point to show off the (so we are told) improved workflow of that aspect of T2 along with step input and how this all interacts with the new plug-ins.
Saying that perhaps another demo is en route?
I am also surprised that more mackie products like the control surface, big knob & digital recorders et al were not brought into the demo?
For sure I imagine that a few months down the line we will see a much improved 'sale pitch' on the Mackie site re T2 and how it can link up with their product range.
Flipper.

tbh I'm quite sure I could have done it better myself...bongo_x wrote:hey
go easy on the guy, for all we know someone stuck a camera on him and said "talk for 5 minutes". I doubt if any of us could do better.

I’m wondering if I’m to qualify this video as an anti-climax or a waste of bandwidth.
Maybe both.
Maybe both.

The only thing you can really say about it is that it's a very gentle intro to what you can do with Tracktion version 1. For people who've never seen music software before.

b.t.w.: I think it's a nice gesture of him to show us what a guitar is...
