My Future Retro XS does this and I love it. I don't know if the ones being modeled here did it as I've never used them unfortunately. If it is the case though - shouldn't this type of behavior have been modelled? Doesn't seem to be.
It's exactly modelled that way. Use only 1 out of the Triple Oscillator or Eco Oscillator and see what happens when you turn it down - the sound "flattens", and the resonance comes in earlier.

With all the opinions about "analogue" sound and the common belief in analogue "grit" and "imperfection", we've been surprised just how well behaved those Dinosaurs are. In fact, the secret was all about making the drive *smooth*, yet distinct. This is what creates that creamy sound.

(which will turn into "harsh" in "draft" mode btw.)

Crackbaby wrote:Urs, could you please consider making a switch for revision so there is one click instead of two to change?
Put your mouse cursor over the revision box and scroll the mouse wheel. no clicks.

The rotary speaker emulation is glorious!
The phaser modes are lovely as well.
I need to test the chorus types some more.. but I guess I will love them as well.

All the effects feel like quality stuff for sure!
Another "Way to go Urs"! :tu: ..and the u-he team! :tu:

What are the limitations of this beta?
Is there a limited instance count for example?
As far as I know the only restriction is that it will expire on 31st December, apart from that it is fully functional. So if your CPU can take it you can use as many instances as you like (but you will probably need a super high powered quantum computer to do this )

Well Urs, you just handed Arturia it's collective ass back with the Diva.

I started opening up the panels and holy sh*t, it's my beloved Jupiter-8(Yes, I own the real thing). I could'nt help but laugh and smile at the same time.

Between you, GForce, and Xils, software is getting ridiculous.

Thanks.

What's the suggested minimum requirements to run DIVA? I thought my new Dual Core Desktop was quite powerfull until DIVA, My PC couldn't seem to handle it, any suggestion for optimization or should I just forget it with a Dual Core, Curious?

I use a Phenom X4, and only 2 voices running on divine mode causes serious "CPU fatigue"

Urs, have you received calls from all around the world asking :cough:begging:cough: you to stop what you are doing with DIVA yet? :hihi:

Now go get some rest, we need you alive and kickin' ...man! :hihi:

Many thanks from me as well, for letting us play with DIVA for a while! :)

There's a 64bit AU version already, not sure about PC VST.

The DIVA Bug list thread. ;)
Thank you hakey.

The i5 M280 CPU on my Toshiba laptop handles it pretty well, I get around 6-8 voices of poly in "Great" mode. It's going to be even better when voices get spread across the cores.
