Whaou man ! I would never have found the trick with the envelop follower ! That's excellent.kraster wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 10:54 am
Yeah. The amount of options even within one wavetable is mind boggling.
I would love a manual to briefly explain what each effect is doing.
I keep stumbling across things too. (Haven’t watched all the videos).
Like I didn’t know you could alter the level of the fundamental and the harmonics independently in the sub oscillator.
Or using a specific oscillator source in the envelope follower allows you to use it as a general modulator for anything. e.g. using noise from the sampler as a source (“pre fader”) with the attack and release all the way down.
Doing the same thing with a sine wave gives you another way of doing FM. You can use it for Filter FM, for example.
Or using the random parameter on a square LFO gives you classic sample and hold style modulation.
You can then combine these so you could have the sample and hold LFO’s level modulated by the noise driven envelope follower for cross modulation weirdness.
The synth is a great example of being complex without being complicated.
I am a sucker for modulations and I am a sucker for audiorate modulation.
I would not have guessed it was possible with Current in a way that is actually... very logical.
Excellent trick and excellent synth.
Thanks again mate.
