I read on the NI forum that it doesn't have a full stereo path....
It is stereo - but you need to click on the R for full stereo in and out. (otherwise its mono in and stereo out)

Yes I know, but that's not what I meant:

It was never the intention to hurt LiquidSonics in any way (and I find it hard to believe that we do). I apologize for any confusion, though. We already had the plug-in "DeVerberate" for reverb reduction, so "Verberate" seemed like a logical choice. It is not really easy to find names and it is important for us to have fairly consistent names throughout our range of plug-ins.

Someone mis-quoted me here.

I wasn't saying it was intentional, just unfortunate, because I have seen several times people mix them up including, I think, in this thread earlier on (or a similar one).

I could swear there was a post asking what I decided on.

The Hofa IQ verb was the best of everything I tried. It has one fatal flaw, really long tails have drop outs. I thought if I could pick it up in the marketplace it would be fine, but I don't want to pay 170 bucks for it as the answer from tech support is the usual "try doing everything that won't help you to work in the way you are accustomed" stuff.

So other than enjoying discussing reverbs and tossing ideas back and fourth, that idea was done.

Should I lock this thread now? Maybe it's not serving a purpose anymore?

Sorry, very late to this: we're offering all Acon Digital for 30% off for the next 2 weeks, including Verberate for $69:

Dear Uncle Eric,

Thank you for the lovely heads up as always. Just purchased. You've sent me a lifeline more than once on great deals (love me my Steinberg Portico Comp  ). Looking forward to putting this to use!

Cheers,

I think that was me asking... don't lock it, there's some good discussion.

Maybe "decision made" should change to "the quest continues" and/or diary updates in the OP (maybe there is... haven't looked).

This does seem to be the reigning Summer '14 blockbuster reverb thread, such as it is.

Speaking or reverb: I've been having a lot of fun with the Waves Renaissance Reverb that I picked up cheap a few weeks ago.

It's another "let it do what it's good at," but don't expect any more than that... seems to excel at short/non-linear/reverse.

Yeah, I might change the thread title again but I just thought I'd leave it that way. It's a disappointment because the hofa is exactly what I'm looking for, but too much coin for something that didn't function perfectly.

I've bumped out the IR 1 as I don't care for the preset browsing and many of the IR' are just samey and uninspiring. I think I should just be happy with what I have.

We are never happy with what we have. I see the path now. You must acquire Alitiverb 7. Suck it up. :tu:

Well, console yourself with the bucks saved.

And not a buck was given that day!

Here are some nice little freebies to warm your little cockles:

Both of those are excellent reverbs. Very usable and very nice sounding.

And there is this:

by Martin Eastwood. I find a lot of uses for this. Another keeper.

Did you ever consider Eos by AD?

It's a lovely luscious long reverb, can be quite coloured or not. Can use it on drums, vox, guitars. It's really dense and gets inside the sound. Quite exceptional reverb. Sean did the algos for it iirc. It is 50 bucks though worth every cent.

Don't lock it! This has taken a different direction (better, IMO) than the typical "which one?" threads. :)

Noticed this on the KR page - looks nice - 89 bucks.

KR-Space is a modular reverb-echoes based multi-effect plug-in which can produce a multitude of different types of effects, from traditional echoes and reverbs, to very complex soundscapes, modulation and filtering effects, resonating echoes and reflections, saturation effects and other types of effects which are not available on any commercially available plug-in of this type.

Grab the demo and give it a twirl.
