Without wanting to go on about this any further, having tried the latest Barricade on a number of projects, I've decided to revert back to 4.1.3 for the main reason of transparency. Previous speculations aside, i really don't understand why the hard clipper in the latest version is causing a change in volume and why it appears to be proportional to the signal level and/or frequency. Nevertheless i was, and still am, happy with the 4.1.3 so would prefer to continue using that version. The difference is subtle but it is one that is starting to bother me now the initial novelty has worn off. Hopefully this can be resolved, even if just by including a legacy mode in the input modeller of future updates.

You'd be welcome, there's plenty to go around.

We're talking about differences of about 0.1dB. nothing to be concerned about sound wisesfxsound3 wrote:Things sounding different across versions = instant ignore and never look back.

Got a newsletter mail from TB, seems they have resurrected the bus tools bundle (only v3 plugins), for an absurdly generous 40 euros, or even 20 if you already own any of those v3 bus plugins (original purchase only).

Very much so, I have been demoing their bus compressor and reel thingy recently. The former works very well, without using nearly as much CPU as the Klanghelm.
I bought Barricade (and the track tools bundle) like 2 years ago, but my old mail account got closed by my former mail provider (due to false allegations that I send spam, never sent spam in my whole life), so I don't have that purchase mail anymore. Not sure I even kept it, anyway, as there were no upgrade paths back then and I backed up my license files. Keeping mails over years is not my thing...
But I suppose even at 40 euros it is a bargain

I'm very happy with ReelBus, which I purchased a while back and have used loads since. 20 smackeroos for the other plugins sounds like a good deal to me. Not sure I have a use for all the plugins in the bundle, but at this price point (same as a single plugin), not really an issue. Tempting...

It seems that the ToneBoosters swallow the VAT which in my case would have been 7,48 €. That's amazing imho.
Thank you for your order!

New 'Bus Tools' bundle for 40 Euro which includes Sibilance, Barricade and ReelBus. Upgrade for 20 Euro if you own any of the contained plugins... possibly the best value for money bundle in plugin land.

TB plugins are an absolute steal.
Especially Barricade, ReelBus, Bus Compressor, but I also like Module, EQ, Ferox and Time Machine. Track Essentials are only 20 euro!
And I really like new v4 GUIs. Hopefully all of his plugins will get this new look.
