Please provide an option to turn off the 4x unison on the oscillators, that's really my only complaint.

When you're creating sounds from scratch with the oscillators (and you happen to be an OCD control freak) it's really offputting how the phases of the unison voices could be in an arbitrary position, often causing extreme cancellation or boosts. I prefer many types of bass sound without unison, and I really think turning unison detune to 0 should either mute or reset the phase of the unison oscs.

Aside from that, I'm really excited by this. The sync oscillators can do some wonderfully acidic things with the slave pitch disconnected from the master (it resembles a filter with keytracking off :) ), and they go really high without losing their sharpness. :D

little hint: double click unison / detune to set them to zero.

The next midi note will restart the oscillator.

It's a lot more then a bass machine already i think. The diversity of sounds is unbelievable. A real masterpiece.
Thanks sugarbytes!

Thanks, though it's not always working on my end (it usually does though). Especially in the beginning of a sounddesign session, when I've selected my INIT preset, there can sometimes be some phase offset that I have to "shake off" by double-clicking several times. It's not a huge problem but it confused me at first.

Also, when I load my INIT preset which has no effects, sometimes the chorus is activated, even with a blank FX sequence. I can fix this by jiggling the FX grid on and off, but I figured I should point it out. Can anyone else confirm this? I haven't entirely ruled out that I'm doing something wrong, but I think I understand the GUI fairly well now.

I've also got a query about the envelope generator. Is there a way to have legato triggering on this and the LFO? I've tried setting the mode to single instead of multi, but that's not doing it. Setting the FX sequencer and the Wobble gen. to single mode DOES enable legato triggering, so I'm wondering if this is an oversight.

Anyway, I'm having a lot of fun with it, it really is just plain fun to use and inspiring. :D

Does aynone else notice that a lot of the presets clip? Might be a bug with Mixcraft 6, but everything I've bounced down from Cyclop so far looks like a series of bricks!

Never seen anything quite like this. Very unique piece of software!

Did manage to make it crash though in the fx sequencer. If ya middle-click in it, it adds an fx and if ya middle click again, it crashes.

Reproduced.
Edit: Is now fixed, the fix will be available in the next update.

Hi All,

we have just uploaded a secret update for Cyclop.
If you already downloaded the demo or full version,
please download again!

The secret update includes better manuals
(can now be started from the about screen)
and fixes all bugs we found during the weekend.

You can identify the update the in about screen, which now has a close button.

Rico, is it safe to assume that if the demo is about 160mg download on the Mac, and is only 300 presets, that the full version with 800 presets is going to contain many more samples thus be a much larger download?

Also, I think you all have a kicka$$ idea here! It's definitely more than just a bass synth. I can understand a lot of the comments from users in the thread in the instruments folder stating they couldn't get their heads around it. However, for me it was pretty simple to understand. Just like Urs did with Zebra you guys managed to get a lot of information into a very small area. I think its great and I am sure to purchase it soon.

On a side note, this thing paired with Thesys is ridiculously addictive!

The demo contains all samples, but just a selection of artist presets.
All Sugar Bytes presets are included in the demo. The full version is not much bigger than the demo.

Some of the presets in the new patch (and a couple that I've made since I got it) are now only outputting the sub sine.
