They do, but more rarely. I got SD2 while it was on sale, and SDXs as well.

I have the feeling we won't see a sale on the upgrade, now that they've announced the end of the upgrade path at the end of the year. :-(

Hooked up to Roland Drum kit they both sound pretty good, but the hats/cymbals are the difference for me in realism - SD3 has AD2 beat. I find the mapping a bit confusing in SD3 but I've got it down now. Be interesting to see how the Addictive team responds.

Last year they did "Superior Summer" sale in June with sales on Superior Drummer 2 crossgrades and discounts on SDX packs.

Hoping this year's Superior Summer will offer something similar for SD3.

Thanks! That sounds like a plan. I'll see if they do anything over the summer, and if not, then probably look for a used copy.
