Not the Roland JD-800 at any rate. I adore that 90's synth, and can't figure out for life of me why there hasn't been any kind of plugin for it at all by any developer by 2016david.beholder wrote:However. price, scaleability and presets support on this new reissues is in range from bad to none and there are few, really few replacements of good hw synths in sw.Urs wrote:However, the number of synths-that-beg-to-be-done-virtually shrinks by the day. Seems like SEMs, MS-20s, Odysseys and now even Minimoogs come back to store shelves. Which leaves the ones that require endangered parts to run, or those which are a tad odd and obscure. That said, we have a nice range of monosynths of which we have at least two specimen. Those are the ones we might want to tackle. Two of these create a lot of glow in our eyes, even though they are not very well known.
Minimoogs and some Rolands are emulated very well, but there are no proper emulation of SEM exists yet. And SEM replica cost like $1k altho it's not obscure or rare, just not emulated properly.
Korg has released there classic M1, Wavestation and other classic synths in plugin form. Synth1 beautifully captures a Nord Lead, even though it's not quite as realistic as I'm sure u-he or someone else can pull if off (though it sounds amazing for an freebie by an indie creator!), and there are average/meh Kontakt libraries for the Ensoniqs , and that classic Yamaha TX81Z. But darn, there's not even a plugin for that JD and It blows my mind
