I've just got a MacBook Pro, using WinXP on BootCamp and that put my Toshiba M200 (with Kong Audio plugins) to rest. Do I need to buy new licences for my new laptop? I'm not using the Toshiba M200 anymore :) I'm currently using 3 plugins from Kong Audio: ChineeWinds, Gu-Zheng, and Erhu.

Thank you,
Kenny.

Hi Kenny,

No, our users do not have to purchase new licenses if they are migrating to a different computer. Just drop us a line with your new Computer ID to info at chineekong.com and we'll send you the new codes accordingly.

Wow, great to hear that :) I'll install it to my new MacBook Pro and will email you the new ID as soon as it appears :)

Thank you,
Kenny.

what if you have two computers, say a desktop and a laptop. If you only use one computer at a time, do you need two licenses.

Hi there,

Sorry, now that's the situation where an additional license is needed...;)

Boot Camp (still in Beta) messed up the partition and I've just reformatted, re-instaled WinXP... Hopefully the new partition won't change the machine ID, or else, I will have to email you for the new authorization code :(

Thanks,
Kenny.

Yes I thought that I will have to pay for the new license (which costs 50% of the original price, I think.) I have requested Kong Audio to send me new activation # before, when I formatted my Toshiba tablet and the machine ID got change; but having a new comp., I thought I would need new license... fortunately, I don't have to :)
