Has anyone here, who's running Kontact 2 on Receptor, installed the 2.1.1 Update?

Was it easy to do?
Can you explain basically how to do it?

There is a user-installable up on plugorama for this.

Before it was available though, I documented how to do it and put the file up on the yahoo forum here. Direct link to that file here
Since I spent so much time getting it working my way, I never went back and installed it using the "user installable" from Muse. My way also makes it possible to put on any patch release that NI might release. I must warn you it's a pretty convoluted process, but several others have been able to follow it and make it work. Feel free to pm me if you decide to try it and run into issues.

I'm a bit confused about this (not your install) but the fact that I already successfully installed Kontact 2, with the Installer off Plugorama, but the NI website says I only have ver. 2, the Installer from Plugorama says: 2.1.1 build...
The NI site says I need the 2.1.1 Win Update ~ hmmmm, could this be a coincidence?

Do you understand what I'm saying?, maybe this installer dealt with this NI Update to Kontact 2?
I wish somone @ Muse could confirm

The version on Plugorama is 2.1.1. If you have v2.0 already installed on Receptor it acts as an update. To install simply copy it to the "<Receptor Hard Drive>\Drop Installers Here\" folder and proceed as normal.

Due a problem with the v2.1.1 installer you will not be able to authorize Kontakt 2 on your Receptor if you are not upgrading from an existing v2.0 installation. Consequently if you haven't already installed and authorized Kontakt 2.0 on your Receptor you must first download, install and authorize Kontakt v2.0 and then install the v2.1.1 update.

I purchased it On Line, from Native Instruments, last August.
That's the version they sent me.

BTW ~ works extremely well on Receptor!
I've transfered everything I use on Kompact, over to Kontact.

Im going to buy Kontakt 2 shortly. Should I wait until Plugorama release the most up to date installer, or is it worth doing it before it's released. So basically I have to get the V2.0 installer to do the fresh install on my Receptor, then install the 2.1.1 update. Where do i get the old installer from? (v2.0) It's a bit of a pain all this isn't it? Roll on Muse and Komplete

It's got a link on the Plugorama page. I did it it is easy, just follow the instructions.

Thanks. As I have Garritan Personal Orchestra I ordered the crossgrade Kontakt 2 which I am waiting for. I have never dealt with or authorized crossgrade software before. Anything I should know before I get it? I presume you have to submit your GPO serial and then get a licence for Kontakt 2 from NI?
