Hello to all,
I've just received my full version of the Sylenth and after some hours of experience, I'm caused to join this group.
First of all: Congratulations to Lennard.
Warmth, beautyness, feeling - that's my first impression of his software-instrument.
Sounds that remind me on old days of analog polyphonic monsters realized by a software - that's great.
Ok, but I found bugs:
- Controlling the LFO-Rate by Keytrack causes the LFO-Rate to be very (too) fast, even with the Rateknob in the LFO-section turned to zero. It seems to be an offset problem.
It happens to both of the LFOs.
- Key-Assignment:
Holding down a bass and playing notes with the second hand interupt the bass-tone when maximum of polyphony is reached.
I think holded notes have to be untouched.
- Some clicks occur even while fast moving the Modulation wheel or external controller-knobs.
I know that this may be a problem of my PC, but running an P4 with 2,4GHz and a Latency of 7ms on an M-Audio 2496 it shouldn't be that problem.
Suggestion:
The extraordinary warm sound of Sylenth reminds me on the Oberheim 4voice - so my first thoughts facing the dual structure of the synth was to see an implementation of a (selectable) keyassigment like these old Oberheims - assigning every second played note to the other section.
Programming slightly different sounds on each section would give even more liveness. I would love to see that, I'm waiting for this feature since 1980 (I never had the money to buy a 4voice).
Have a good time.

Yes, I'll see what I can do about it. For now try using this in "Mono Legato" mode only (might need to reset the synth after switching to clear the modulation value), that should work right.Obiwahn wrote:- Controlling the LFO-Rate by Keytrack causes the LFO-Rate to be very (too) fast, even with the Rateknob in the LFO-section turned to zero. I wasn't able to reproduce this. Could you be more specific about these clicks and how you get them? An audio sample would be useful too.Obiwahn wrote:- Some clicks occur even while fast moving the Modulation wheel or external controller-knobs.

Thanks for reporting.
