Hi - Could someone please talk me in detail how to play my sampled instrument as a vst in Cubase SE?
Here's what I did:
Allocated my wavs to each piano key by dragging and dropping. They play OK both on the screen keyboard and on my music midi keyboard.
Set instrument name to "Flute_29" (the name of my sampled flute I am creating).
Left other fields as - Midi ch 1, Audio ch 1 PB 1.
In Options, changed name to "Flute_29 maize".
Hit Export.
I got: A folder containing Fl_29 maize.msb, a Fl_29 maize.dll file and a Fl_29 maize.mss file.
I put the dll in my vstpugins folder and ran Cubase SE.
Fl_29 maize comes up in the instrument list. I connected my flute track to this instrument and set it to midi channel 1. No sound.
Hit edit for the track and the maize sampler appears, but showing "instrument: null"
Here's my problem - how do I now get it to play my flute sound. If anyone could talk me through this, I'd be etrernally grateful!
Cheers
Jon

Thanks caoxiang and sosayweall - it works now!! (Doh - silly me, should have sussed that out myself!) In fact I found it works fine if I just choose the vst plugins folder when I export. No need then to copy any files over.caoxiang wrote:make sure you copy all the files to the vst folder, not just dll
Anyway, thnx guys.
Jon
