First let me say thank you for lowering the price of SynthMaster so that amateur musicians like me can buy it. "SynthMaster" is not a bad name for this synth because it can do everything. It truly is a synthesizer lover's synthesizer. I'm have a great time learning how to use it.

The trouble I'm having is with "clicks" in waveforms 2 through 8 on the oscillators with the sine wave selected. If you do the following you should be able to duplicate the problem:

1) Load preset 101 (Basic Waveforms -- Sine)
2) Go to the oscillator 1 page
3) Turn down the volume for wave 1
4) Turn *up* the volume for wave 2
5) Play a note

You will hear a click (at least *I* do). The same happens for waves 3 through 8. It has nothing to do with the harmonic number. I know that sine waves will make a clicking sound if there is *any* disruption in the waveform--that is, if it goes from an amplitude of 0 to 5 instead of 0 to 1, for example. In other words, on a graph, the sine wave must have a smooth curve--no vertical lines. This problem only occurs with sine waves, by the way.

Here is one more thing I noticed. You will hear silence if you do the following:

1) Load preset 101 (Basic Waveforms -- Sine)
2) Go to the oscillator 1 page
3) Turn down the volume for wave 1
4) Turn *up* the volume for wave 3
5) Change the harmonic number for wave 2 from 2 to 1
6) Play a note and there will be no sound

Neither of these are any big deal--I'm just trying to learn how this synthesizer really works. It's very different from anything I have used before!

I'll take a look into this tonight and get back to you.

Thank you. Please don't take this as a complaint, because every synth I have ever used has had "clicks" here and there--especially when sine waves are used. I just want to understand SynthMaster as best as I can. I'm planning to do a review of it here as soon as I have fully explored it.

Did you find anything out?

I'm mainly trying to understand how exactly the waveforms work. I mean, why is it that waveform 1 does not produce a clicking sound, but waveforms 2-8 do?
