Not sure if I'm just being dense but...
If I create a new instance of Sampla in a rack slot I don't see anywhere in the sampla gui to select a sample! -- If I choose "add a sample" from the tools menu and select an audio file Mulab creates a new rack with sampla in it and it plays the selected sample but I cant see anywhere in the Sampla Gui any indication of which sample is being played. Am I missing something?

Click the title bar of the 'Sampler' section. It contains a little arrow indicating you can click on it to 'jump to' / 'open up' the target.semiquaver wrote:Not sure if I'm just being dense but...

By the way, what do you guys think of the names 'Synthia', 'Sampla' and 'MultiSampla'.
Is it
, or is it
?
Is it

I think those names are ok. To me they are a bit more Euro-centric and "fun", less "corporate" than other products.mutools wrote:By the way, what do you guys think of the names 'Synthia', 'Sampla' and 'MultiSampla'.

I don't expect too many people considering Mu.Lab would be put off by this.

I was hesitant to say something at first, but...mutools wrote:By the way, what do you guys think of the names 'Synthia', 'Sampla' and 'MultiSampla'.

Synthia is alright.
Sampla and MultiSampla however are...well...I think they're horrible names.

I love Synthia! It's a perfect pun, you should keep it.
Funnily enough, I was thinking about the names a little on the weekend and came up with "Samplona" (Pamplona) - another pun.
What if we could find another city pun to replace Synthia and one for Multisampla? Though it would be a shame about Synthia!
I'm with toxicoh - eurocentric and individual is good...

You could also tap into Flamsk a little!
Software with cool Dutch names would be a real novelty i.e. attention-getter! I personally don't know of any yet.
...this does sound like a cool idea to me!

I popped in recently to check out how things are going and I reckon Synthia is cool as....!
I don't know about the other two names, but Jo you are really putting in the nice stuff now.
Actually was pretty impressive before already.

The only one I'm not keen on is "MultiSampla"... It sounds like it's trying a bit too hard as a name...
Though I guess that means Sampla would need changing, too.
