as a last tool in a series, I am hereby presenting "The Split Plugin Creator"! With this tool it is possible to create a new VST plugin that hosts two other plugins (currently two equal plugins). The user is then able to split the signal (by frequency, by level, Left/Right or Mid/Side) to process the splitted signal individually with the respected plugin.
Furthermore it is possible to oversample the hosted plugins up to factor 16x to reduce the aliasing. With this treatment you can easily create a multiband compressor based on your favourite broadband compressor or add L/R and M/S possibilities to your favourite EQ (hopefully the incredible Electri-Q
I bet with this tool you will rediscover and recreate more than one favorite plugin. The foolproof interface can make it simple for everyone.
While it is basically possible to host two different plugins, this feature is locked until I received enough donations. Otherwise the tool is free to use and part of my open source project. So anyone, who'd like to modify it, is free to do so.
Right now the tool still is very young (started with it last night right after releasing the plugin merger) and might not work with every plugin or in any host. Although I have to work on other things now, just keep me informed about bugs and issues.
Enjoy it,
Christian
