Is it possible to quantize to groove templates with mu.lab?
Can mu.lab extract a groove template out of a midi file?
Thanks

No, not yet possible to use custom grids. But it's on the whishlist.
By the way: is there an open standard for 'groove templates'?

Through what time you plan to add groove templates? In what look it will be realized in Mulab? Add it in the paid Mulab version

I had selected this FR for implmentation in M5 but especially the browser took much more time than expected and so i had to be more selective on other M5 wishes and this one was postponed. That's the bad news. The good news is that i have been looking into this and it should be reasonably easy to implement. I can't yet give a detailed ETA though.

Midi, perhaps. For example, could you use a midi file to capture just the timing information from a sliced audio loop and then apply that timing/groove elsewhere?mutools wrote:By the way: is there an open standard for 'groove templates'?
