Nice I do it very similar but use an FMO as the sound source and use a bit of self modulation to bring in some overtones.
No worries, glad you found it usefulZenPunkHippy wrote:Thanks for sharing
Peace,

I often use that very trick to create a nicely defined attack on percussive basslines, though I hadn't though of applying it to kicks etc... ThanksUrs wrote:Great tutorial!![]()
One can additionally shape the initial click by moving the phase of the oscillator so that it doesn't start at a zero crossing - this creates various amounts of click at no cost. Hehe, and one would want to switch off "Attack Smoothing" close to the Drift setting.
Aha, that's useful to know.Urs wrote: Another advantage of the filter is the much, much higher modulation range (150 semitones compared to 48)
Hehe, just to clarify, it's +/- 150 semitones on filters vs. +/- 48 on oscillators. The 8 at the end of parenthesis became the cool smileybagginz wrote:Aha, that's useful to know.Urs wrote: Another advantage of the filter is the much, much higher modulation range (150 semitones compared to 48)
