It would be great if NI would make the output faders in Kontakt receive midi CC. I've asked for years for this so feel free to request it and you never know. However, it IS still best to do your automation in your DAW by running Kontakt's 16 stereo individual outputs into it... since the processing is likely going to be better for treating these high quality drums. If you have plug-ins like T-Racks 3 Deluxe, Waves, UAD and DSP like that even better.

I know i'm bumping an old thread, but it is the community support thread after all. I am in the process of reinstalling my OS and have decided to go all 64bit. So I have a few questions:
1) I am using Kontakt player. Should I install the latest version ie V5. Is this compatible with this soundset?
2) Is the infinite player 64bit compatible?
3) How do I install the update packages I downloaded? It's been so long I can't remember how to do that...
4) Do i use the same serials I got when I bought the product a couple years back.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you very much for the feedback. I'll give it a go later and hopefully it'll all be glitch free and install without any pain.hydemusic wrote:1. Reviving an old thread. Is there any easy way to tell which drums files that have been installed? I had to reinstall and it's a bit of a pain to figure out which I've installed. Any quick way to get a list? Will I just have to reinstall everything to be sure?
thanks.
thanks.

You can look in the Instruments/Multis folders for the patches and compare to what you have left to install. If you end up installing something that has already been installed, the installer will just write over the previous material.
