Here is the related post about the release:

Ok, I updated the Basic free with the sf2 files inside the dll
http://www.4shared.com/file/nzSry8fc/Th ... Basic.html
----
After spending already quite an amount of time on preparing important parts for the new Dreammachine it looks very promising for some major enhancements:
The waveselectors for the wave sequencers will display the wave names (also in the popups now!) which is a great advantage - the minor drawback will possibly be there'll be only 16 steps in a single row instead of 24 (4 x 6 now) which is due to the space required on the GUI for the name display.
Also this new system will no longer require to have sf2 files with a fixed number of waves like now is 100.
And there is more: Each step of the wave seq will have it's adjustable step length probably from 4 to 32 in steps of two bars with the option of divison by 2 then ranging from 2 to 16 in steps of 1 bar.
The GUI will reflect these changes and will be more into the direction of Percumat2 and X-WoF 6
Probably I'll even use the output section of Percumat 2 except for the stereo delay as each part has got a deciated delay already.
Stay tuned
HG
P.S. comments and sugestions are welcome

hmmm ... not really ... but thanks for the complimentbobsled wrote:You are, in aspect, not unlike a god.
btw. another new feature will be mixing the two soundsources in each part with modulation so both can sound simultaneously at varying amount. the only thing I'll have to ensure is at switching of the waveform having this one not sounding at this short time. Improved Fade at switching is already done.
Though this does sound as good progress which actually it is there is still a fairly long way to go ...
cheers

ok, the worst part of this one is nearly done ... i.e. the general control of the whole thing which gave me a lot of headaches incl. certain setbacks when the sources would not reload so I had to start again from a prior source. Anyway in some cases this has led to some positive outcomings as some this could be solved even better.
Still to early for a screenshot as it will probably give only misleading impressions. Anyway the basic sound just with the raw waves, a litte delay and reverb is already beyond expectations i.e. great.
During next week I'll attend to the soundengines also being completely reworked.
So all in all this will be something NEW.
stay tuned

just a mini status report: after lots of headaches, setbacks and other adversaries there has been finally a breakthrough today :sigh
Now it's basically running ... but really basically soundwise as the sound engines and it's modulations still need quite some attention. Anyway there are some new fairly tricky solutions already
hopefully there will be a beta for selected testers around weekend.
stay tuned

Will the TDM-Nightmares sounds still work?
Or do I need to change something.....

no change required even more now it will be less restrictive for sf2 usage as no longer a fixed number of 100 sf2 presets will be neededdnekm wrote:Will the TDM-Nightmares sounds still work?Or do I need to change something.....

just a short update on the current state of development:
While many things could be solved some other probs came up ... probably and sadly a further week to go before a beta can be put out to selected betatesters.
HG - not really amused by this delays ...

I really like this synth. Even the demo, when it first appeared, was an attention grabber. I will have another go around with it and hopefully be able to keep some questions on tap. I have a feeling that most will be answered when this newer version comes out. H.G., it sounds like you're on a small breakthrough threshold with tinkering with this. You're a developer whose work has consistently become better with each release. I'm sure that this endeavour will be nothing short of spectacular! I'm really looking forward to it.
Cheers!

Thanks for your encouraging words
And, finally there is light at the end of the labyrinthic tunnel in sight
Today progress has been really good and the final big trouble has been solved.
Still there is a lot of detail work to be done and the sf2 files need some attention too mainly filling these up to 128 and probably replacing a few waves.
Just as a sidenote: it can be played with four voices via MIDI atm - have to check whether two more voices can be added depending on the general CPU usage.
Actually with two voices you can have 12 oscillators sounding already. So sound is not really a matter of nummber of voices.
Stay tuned
