Hi folks,
We're very close to be feature complete for 2.1, except 3 things:
1. UI skins
2. Presets
3. User manuals/videos.
The above 3 items can be addressed during "beta" period. However, before reaching "beta" there are still a couple of areas I'd like to address, specifically the FX section:
1. 2 band EQ for the Ensemble wet output
2. Pre/post distortion EQs (2 band) for the Distortion effect, also a user drawable distortion curve.
3. Distortion in the feedback loop of the Delay effect.
4. EQ in the feedback loop of the delay effect.
5. Bandpass filter for audio input envelope detector so that the envelope of a certain band of the audio input can be detected
6. Trigger note (note #, velocity) for audio input: This might be useful for "audio in" type of oscillators, so when the playback starts those oscillators turn on instantly without the need for MIDI input.

How about a text file such as "SynthMasterFolder.txt" that contains the root folder name that contains all the other files?asseca wrote:I would like to have the option to place just the DLL file in the VstPlugins folder, and the rest of the files on another user definable location, preferably via a shortcut.
I think I can implement that in the next build if you like the solution?

Thanks, a text file containing a pointer to the "Data Folder" would be finekv331 wrote:How about a text file such as "SynthMasterFolder.txt" that contains the root folder name that contains all the other files?asseca wrote:I would like to have the option to place just the DLL file in the VstPlugins folder, and the rest of the files on another user definable location, preferably via a shortcut.

You're still having the "unresponsive GUI" problems?Caco wrote:The update looks fantastic Bulent
Any chance of fixing the GUI bugs I reported here as Synthmaster is currently unusable for me and I am desperate to start using it routinely

Yes, very much sokv331 wrote:You're still having the "unresponsive GUI" problems?Caco wrote:The update looks fantastic Bulent

Interestingly just tried the latest alpha and using the pink skin CPU usage hovers around 2% in eXT with no notes playing and only SM2.1 loaded.
If I change skin to Graytones Alt 1 then CPU usage rises to 50% and hovers around there. If I go back to the pink skin CPU usage drops again. I presume then the Graytones skin uses png images and the pink one doesn't?
Still have the annoying issue where sometimes knobs are linear rotary, sometimes circular, sometimes swaps mode in the middle of moving a knob with my mouse.
Am impressed so far with what I have seen of the update Bulent, keep up the good work
p.s need more modulation matrix slots though, 8 isn't enough for this synth now

I have found that the knob-behaviour is "linear" if you start mouse-dragging from the center of the knob, and is "rotary" when you start mouse-dragging from the knob's ring(s) ...Caco wrote:Still have the annoying issue where sometimes knobs are linear rotary, sometimes circular, sometimes swaps mode in the middle of moving a knob with my mouse.

Those gui's lost many of the parameter setting for whatever reason, I don't suggest using with them yet. I'm working on it all this weekend to sort everything out so they will work. It does use .png images but very few images are used, 27 background images and 4 knobs, 704kb. Thats instead of the 14MB that the old gui used and the 2mb dthe pink one uses, not sure why that one is over 2mb though.Caco wrote:Yes, very much sokv331 wrote:You're still having the "unresponsive GUI" problems?Caco wrote:The update looks fantastic Bulent

the Matrix that I installed is 2x8, so 16 slots. The pink one development gui has only 8 but from what I saw in the editor and intalled in the gui it should have 16 when done, but that's not up to me
Anyway, If all goes well you'll have 6 gui's to select from.

I'll debug that hopefuly tomorrow. Maybe png backgrounds are causing this, just dont know... Will see...Caco wrote:Thanks for the info Hils93, your GUIs are awesome, so hopefully Bulent can fix whatever bug is causing the high CPU usage I experience when using a png-based skin in SM2.
